No no no. You are describing the 2k rattle. The OP is talking about something totally different. The PCVs rattle on these cars briefly on cold start-up and certian ambient temps. It doesnt last long, usually goes away when the idle kicks down.

Yes. Its supposed to keep you in a certian RPM range. Track mode does this with amazing precision. One tap and it will down shift.

No idea. But it appears the rev limiter is set lower on manual cars. Im not sure if its the speed or the gear its in, but some scenarios drop it to 6k.

I tried it this morning. Its a bit inconsistent. If youre just coasting and tap it twice nothing happens. You have to already be in the pedal some for this to work. While already giving it some pedal if you pump it twice mine would drop anywhere from two to five gears. Usually just two or three...

Ill have to give this a try next time im out. I have continuous gear display enabled and im curious how many gears it changes.

I only use paint gloss on a wet car before I dry if im going to a car show or something. Otherwise its a bit usless.

The quite starts on these cars are not very quite. As mentioned you cant really hear a big difference until the initial fast idle kicks down.
