Came here to post the same!
Full disclosure, I have a small connection to DS, a relationship built over many years, again I was one of their very first customers.
As I have learnt more and more of the business story, the more and more I respect what they have achieved. Nick started the...
No.
Brake Buster is great because it can clean both wheels AND tyres. It's an alkaline based cleaner that also contains corrosion inhibitors. It also foams really well. For tyres, never dilute it. For wheels, I use it undiluted in a foam cannon, or you can dilute to 10:1 in a pump foamer or...
Finally getting to wash cars again!
Washing the Ranger was the last thing I did before heading to the doctor, then being sent to hospital on November 6th. And even then, I didn't get to finish the job. It was then lent to my father to move a two-piece sofa, so it was covered in bugs and...
I just dropped $350 at Waxit!
I use this sale as an opportunity to restock on bulk products, especially Carpro and NV brands. If you haven't tried Carpro Reset before due to the premium price, now is the time to discover its brilliance. It's also a good time to stock up on iron remover, which...
At one point, I was importing the wheel coating directly from Armour in the US, but then Detailing Shed picked up the Aussie distribution for the brand. The coatings came initially, but the rest of the range followed a few months later. After everything I had read to that point, I took a punt on...
Drying Aids
The basic concept of a drying aid is to provide lubrication while towel drying, while also boosting gloss and slickness. You can use a drying aid on a fully wet vehicle, or after using some form of blower to remove the bulk of the water first.
In simple terms, there are two basic...
This is consistent with spray sealants being used as drying aids. Some would say that perhaps we have taken things too far with drying aids, as in using quite substantial spray sealants when a simple quick detailer would serve the same role, but without the potential of overloading on...
And since we are playing dream cars here, I'll have a E46 M3 CSL too please. The BEST inline 6 ever made, even if its considered slow these days. Arguably the best induction note ever as well!
I've had an early build Jaguar XE 2.0t in the fleet since 2016, mine seems to be the exception as apart from a few minor niggles, its been surprisingly good.
Despite only having 200hp, it goes hard enough and will easily drive rings around the Mustang. Apparently JLR have an internal...
In my dream garage.................we all have one of those right?..............................only in recent years have I grown to like Porsche's. But very specific Porsche's.
First would be the Cayman GT4 RS, purely because it sounds more intense than the same engine in GT3. Those last...
No need to wipe off the product, it was designed to be carried and activated with water. So, clean the wheel, and while still wet, spray with the product and rinse immediately. You can then dry the wheel with a towel or a blower/compressed air.
At about the halfway point during my two year wait for the S650, I started to contemplate what would sway me to cancel the order. I shortlisted the previous generation BMW M2, the current one looks awful, and the Toyota Supra, have always wanted a BMW inline 6. But realistically, there was only...
I posted the following in my own thread, but felt it needed to be added here too..................................
Ford Performance Oil - Air Separator Kit Installation
One of the things I love about Mustang ownership is the huge aftermarket support for the car, allowing customers to tailor...
Battery & CTEK Pig Tail Installation
## For anyone new to modern Mustang's, take the following post as a PSA ##
I'm sure many will remember this, but late into my ownership of the S550, I had a little hiccup with the battery. The cause and result were both my own and the dealers doing. Because...
Ford Performance Oil / Air Separator Kit Installation
One of the things I love about Mustang ownership is the huge aftermarket support for the car, allowing customers to tailor the car to their heart’s desire. Now, I normally don’t do aftermarket, so this is where Ford Performance comes into...
My comments regarding this were not in relation to time/money/effort preparing for the coating rather than applying the coating, just that paying the premium for the Xpel coating over the Gyeon was not worth it.
A couple of things I would note here -
- Definitely have the wheels and calipers coated.
- Glass coating is nice to have, just know these coatings don't always last very long, notably on the front windshield due to the abrasion from the wipers. Worth doing, just know the limitations.
- Skip...
With my number plates, which are the black and white Ford upgrade Vic slim lines, my salesman had the plate installer in to look over the Flow brackets and stress not fitting the plinth. So, you would think after that, everyone would be on the same page. And yet, they still fitted those stupid...
