I've looked at new hoods every so often, im torn between the super snake style hood or the glass cutout hood that C2customs has listed now that I've got a fancy blower. Probably will just stick with what I have for the time being since I would want any new hood paint matched
The only reasons here i would say get the auto are
1. You dont want to manually shift all the time
2. The pp has magneride
Otherwise there's nothing the pp does that you can't do on your own down the road
Actually thinking more about it the GDTs only real "original" parts are the body panels, aero, and suspension. The engines an updated predator 5.2. The chassis a Mustang. The transmission is a version of the Tremec DCT used in the gt500, Z06 and the ZR1. The wheels are magnesium versions of the...
Yeah, I had a feeling it was going to be close between the GTD and ZR1. ZR1 may have 200hp on the GTD but the GTD has better aero and suspension which are critical on a track like this. Still good to see chevy following in Fords footsteps of setting a sub 7 minute lap.
Children please take your petty bickering to the playground outside, i promise you, nobody here gives a fuck
to answer your question, its 100% a "you gain 2HP by removing the carbon traps". does the hood effect the airflow and heat dissipation of the car, yeah sure. will you EVER actually...
*can* you, sure plenty of cars have painted carbon fiber
*should* you, no 90% of the price is to look cool as carbon fiber, if you want to paint it, just get fiberglass.

Lethals already got them listed for 800
one important bit left out from that, or rather two is the end of it
1. that EO was signed in February
2. it gave us part numbers (not active numbers but does show they are working them)
im going to put a hefty "ill believe it when i see it" here. while the ZR1X is an amazing car on paper its still being held back by some (relatively speaking) old tech. itll most likely beat the GTD but i feel the AMG One is a bit of a longshot. Corvette does have power on the GTD and AMG One...
have fun with it. Just make sure you take the time to learn the car and its shortcomings before you start modifying performance aspects as those will amplify those shortcomings if you dont address them first.
speaking from my past experience of owning an S197 for 5 years in New Hampshire, if youre going to truly daily this then id advise two things:
1: whatever you do, keep your current wheels and throw on a dedicated set of winter tires
2: with the above, ive driven my current S650 with 285/315s...
