  1. How do you guys lock your Mustang?

@Tyler Durden ..... While talking about locking your cars, I have a comment. I hope all of you have purchased the inexpensive (available for example on Amazon.ca) Faraday pouches to store your keys in or any thief passing by could read your keys and drive off with your car. In your house you can...
  2. Looking to move from BMW M340 to Mustang GT...looking for comments

@Renntech ..... agree and if someone wants a bit more lower end punch you can swap the sub for any number of beefier ones. That said, in our family we have other vehicles for cruising to Led Zep in the thick padded leather seats. When we take the GT out its not to listen to the best musical...
  3. Poor Steering Feedback/ Road Feel?

@samson , respectfully I don't really like to feel wheel shake, but we all use different terms to describe likes/dislikes. I do like to feel tire bite and a consistent curvature through a corner without skip and wander. I find the three steering weight preferences given to me to be pretty decent...
  4. Poor Steering Feedback/ Road Feel?

@PBBLASTER ...... I would wait until your vehicle arrived and then reach a decision after more hands-on use rather than worry in advance. While we are swinging around credentials, not that that is necessarily of any importance, I have a degree in advanced physics and have been building engines...
  5. Fuel for 2024 Mustang GT - premium or regular or mid grade fuel?

@RLE55 ..... You may have misread my post. The crud isn't from the delivery trucks it's from accumulations in any of the older tanks that haven't been replaced with the newer composite ones and even they accumulate water in them due to phase separation and it gets spread throughout the tank. So...
  6. Fuel for 2024 Mustang GT - premium or regular or mid grade fuel?

@roadpilot ..... and to add to your excellent advice - if you pull into a gas station and there is an 18 wheeler gas hauler there filling-up the tanks, drive away as it will take 24 hours for the crud that fill-up stirs in the tanks to settle back down......and you don't want to pump that into...
  7. Fuel for 2024 Mustang GT - premium or regular or mid grade fuel?

@georgeMc ..... there are many, many reasons to use minimum RON 91 but 93 is even better. A major one (mentioned) is the compression ratio. Another is the plasma coated cylinder walls, pistons, fuel rails and reduced combustion chamber temperatures. Only in an emergency would I use below 91...
  8. Poor Steering Feedback/ Road Feel?

@135Hoser ..... Canada eh? So you own a 2024 dork horse. That might explain your problem  Admittedly, I have only driven a dark horse one time. It certainly outhandled any Audi I have ever driven. As for it's overall handling I would characterize the DH (unless damaged) as superb. Wild...
  9. Poor Steering Feedback/ Road Feel?

@PBBLASTER ..... what Mustang do you own? Without specifics of your vehicle it is difficult to offer advice.
  10. Looking to move from BMW M340 to Mustang GT...looking for comments

Simple reply - get the Mustang - no comparison.
  11. Poor Steering Feedback/ Road Feel?

@PBBLASTER ..... my S650 GT corners like its on rails.
  12. Finally got a lift in my garage

@qwk93ta ..... asked because my friend's lift came with instructions that recommended bolting it to the floor. Like me he's a "bit" ocd, so asked his insurance buddy who said no bolts no insurance. Buddy showed him a lift fail that wrote-off the car on the lift ('vette) due to twisted frame...
  13. Strut Tower Brace Custom Aluminum ID Plates

@jboogie1289 ..... at the dealer - my new 2024 Vapor Blue GT 'vert is in the foreground, ready for me to drive away. In the background is the 2024 Oxford White GT 'vert just purchased the day before by a guy and waiting for final detailing - he won the strut tower "badge lottery" - he got the...
  14. Strut Tower Brace Custom Aluminum ID Plates

Interesting. Apparently some of the GTs did too but it was just random.
  15. Strut Tower Brace Custom Aluminum ID Plates

@jimbo67 yes, the dealer said some of the 2024s arrived with strut tower badges some didn't. A tech told me he was told if they ran out of strut tower badges on the assembly line that was the way it went out. I noticed that at the dealership a 2024 Mustang (identical model to mine) except in...
  16. Front inner wheel well issues

@Sf22giants .... agreed. But being ocd about 4 weeks after the installation - plenty of time for the JB weld to cure - I opened a tube of 3M black silicone marine sealant and applied it liberally and smoothly around the perimeter of the edges of the covers about 3/4 of an inch past the edges to...
  17. 2024 Mustang Liner Up-Date ..... FORD ENGINEERS Step-Up and Fix. Way to go Ford!

@TUnica, yes unfortunately you were the first to the issue but your incredibly detailed and accurate video and description saved countless Mustang owners from having potential damage done to their frames and underbody components and your personal fix, while a lot of work, was still very elegant...
  18. Strut Tower Brace Custom Aluminum ID Plates

@RLE55.....good question. I know of six friends who have had it on their cars since April, including mine. It is still firmly affixed. Maybe more so. I believe it is 3M tape. It is so light that if it did come off (which I think is 99.9% unlikely) it would simply blow out of the engine bay, it's...
  19. Strut Tower Brace Custom Aluminum ID Plates

Again profusely sorry if this has been posted by me or another - I used the 7G search engine and did not see it. I have posted this on other forums and received glowing feed back from those who used this American Company - Anchor Room. Scroll down the opening page to "Printed Aluminum Plates"...
  20. Front inner wheel well issues

DIYvan.com - for the kit and the videos. IMO failure to seal these holes will lead to serious component and frame damage especially the front K frame and components. This is a beyond stupid mistake by Ford and at the moment its up to us to fix it. Easily and permanently done with Hein's kit...
