What kind of additives?
Most people will recommend a fuel system treatment like Techron or whatever brand you like, as long as it contains polyether amine (PEA)
Many people will also say if you run gasoline that contains the proper additive packages, you don't need to add a separate fuel...
Drag racing? No. Many people remove their front sway bar (or disconnect it) for the drag strip.
Road course? Maybe, but Ford has it dialed in pretty good on the sway bars that are included. So you're going to want to test to see if it's any faster.
Production TT V8:
C8 ZR1 (coming soon)
Cadillac Blackwing
BMW N63
AMG 4.0
Audi S7/S8
Probably a few others? Not counting things like the Shelby Redye or Lingenfelter/Callaway Corvettes
I'm sure they could just slap it on the GT500 engine. It'd hold it. But that would cost a ton of money to develop blah blah and they already have the supercharger like you said
And yes, the existing supercharged engine would probably be preferred by 90% of buyers
Would you say the stage 2 whipple tune is more comparable to an aftermarket tune than the old whipple tunes were?
I remember tuning companies showing a 40hp gain over the whipple tune but that was on the 2.9's
I wonder if the underhood packaging limitations on the Mustang keep ford from putting something like the 3.5 Eco in the Mustang. They should have no problem making to ~ 450-500hp, they are what, 400 in the F150 and 650 in the Ford GT?
3.5 eco crate engine is like 1/3 to 1/4 the price of a GT500...
Do none of the VMP/Edelbrock 2650's out there count? Sure they are on S550's but same blower, same car....
See quite a few Roush install/dyno videos on YouTube but not many people taking them to the track just like the Whipple. I get that it's still hot in the south but it'll be 'boost weather'...
Not really. Unless you want to get rid of the stock air boxes or really want to add a mod to the list
you now have two filters which only have to flow half as much each as before, not really a place to look for HP gains
These people can get cash back on future repairs and will be reimbursed 50% of the costs paid for a CP4 repair performed at a GM-authorized dealership on or after the date the settlement receives final approval. This reimbursement option will end 12 months after the settlement's final approval...
1. If you look at the high mileage F150's with port+direct, the valves aren't nearly as clean (although, they are still cleaner than DI only engines) as the engines with just port
2. Mustang people were running catch cans before DI engines.
