  1. So at what speed do you finally get traction?

You will, it'll just be more sideways. Make sure the side windows are clean, to see where you're going.
  2. What is the top speed of a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse?

Not sure about the IoM. There's always deaths at the TT races. It's a tricky road.
  3. What is the top speed of a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse?

It depends on what you mean by safe. We have 2 lane country roads not far from me where they close them and have speed record runs. People have gone well over 300kmh and I can recall only one crash which I think was caused by mechanical failure. Then there's unrestricted roads like the...
  4. Wickers - 2024 GT (Factory loose Items)

    Strakes, gotcha.
  5. Revving in Neutral in an automatic (While Driving)

AFAIK Autos pump fluid at all times when running. It's towing with the engine off that can cause problems on some.
  6. Revving in Neutral in an automatic (While Driving)

Do they like girls, or want to be them?
  7. What is the best security system?

A hungry malegator? Seriously, I use a steering lock when it's parked up and I'm away for a while. Mustangs are rare enough here, that you couldn't drive or sell a whole one. And a Coyote engine listed on Trade Me would be slightly stupid.
  8. Revving in Neutral in an automatic (While Driving)

I'm guessing this rev bombing is youthful exuberance? One of my pet hates with modern bikers is rev bombing instead of using the horn. Sure, it's much safer to pull in the clutch, rev the nuts off the bike, and hoping you don't have to brake and swerve suddenly, than press a horn button. W âš“ s
  9. DH fuel consumption

I consider it the cost of a hobby. I sold my bike, I don't play golf, and my wife won't let me have a girlfriend. So I spend it on gas.
  10. DH fuel consumption

Lower litres is better. My highest is 17.9 around town.
  11. DH fuel consumption

Well, when you pay per litre what most in the US pay per gallon, it is a consideration. One I thought about for roughly 5 seconds until the salesman started the beast up.
  12. What is the top speed of a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse?

IIrc Autotop NL ran a EU spec S650 convertible to 255 kmh on unrestricted Autobahn and a Dark Horse hit the limiter at 260.
  13. S650 Whipple drag strip results

Good point. Touching up the make up would really screw up your reaction time. It was similar here. Not enough ice for ice racing, but the lean angles they pulled overseas were amazing. Our old fighter planes were front line fighters. Our only Airforce now are the same aircraft. We had speedway...
  14. S650 Whipple drag strip results

If you have to ask, you weren't there. It was when men were men, and sheep were scared.
  15. Considering selling my special order GT

I played with track a couple of times in the last week. It's an aggressive bugger, isn't it? The downshifts are awesome, but a little jerky at lower speeds. I really like the throttle feel too. I'm going to try it on the twisty's over the ranges going out of town.
  16. S650 Whipple drag strip results

It's interesting, and a culture thing, that the US is really focussed on the drags. We have strips here, but I've never been to one. Except back in 1968 when there was a dirt (!) drag strip a short way out of town. I've been more into circuits with cars and bikes. I have to keep reminding myself...
  17. Ad oil question

Thanks, I am aware of the effect of windage in the oil pan. But usually it takes quite severe overfilling to do damage. Ford sounds like 200 mls over and your engine goes boom
  18. Ford's getting back into passenger cars

OK, CVT's are the work of Satan, or Greta Thunberg, but don't knock 1.5 turbos. Our Skoda has one, all 110kw and 250nm torque. That torque figure is higher than our GT86 at 2000rpm lower. It'll do 0- 100kmh in 8.3 and top out at 220kmh. OK for a small crossover shopping trolley. I won't say...
  19. Ford's getting back into passenger cars

Yeah maybe, but have they fixed the problem with the unsupported wet cylinders where they meet the cyl head. I believe that was the cause of the gasket blowing. Were head gaskets an issue on the Ecoboost?
  20. Ad oil question

I've never seen such a stern warning on overfilling in any other manual. I wonder why it's so critical in the Coyote? Clearance between oil level and crank webs maybe?
