I'm preaching to the choir, but it's pretty infuriating that we have to go through all this on a new car. I know Ford has people that monitor this site, yet they do nothing.

I'm not saying anyone should skip the mod. In fact, I have ordered the kit myself. My point was that owners that don't belong to this forum are not likely to know the problem exists. 2024 Mustang sales are about 40,000 units, and this forum has about 1,600 members the best I can tell.

Checked them with a magnet. They are plastic. May be some metal underneath.

Understand, but I expect 90+ percent of S650 owners don't know about this problem and will do nothing to fix it.

I posted a different problem recently, and someone from Ford responded. She opened a case file and told me I would be contacted by someone at Ford. That was 2-3 months ago and I've heard nothing from them.

Rocker panels are plastic - not going to rust.

Just checked, and at 5000 miles, the space behind the holes has no gravel or other debris. Guess it depends on where you drive.

I wonder how many 2024 owners are doing this. I'm guessing not many. I was aware of the issue before I took delivery, and haven't done anything about it so far.

Tried to put Powerstop pads and rotors on my 2007 GT. Pads wouldn't fit in the calipers - slightly too wide.

Getting back to making you feel good. Can't help with that. Maintenance/extended warranty plans are almost always a waste of money for the consumer, and hugely profitable for the seller. Otherwise they wouldn't be selling them.

172,000 miles on my 07 GT with no differential fluid change. Have never done that on any car and never had a problem.

As I reported earlier, when my 2024 GT was new, the A10 was surging on uphill grades in 10th gear. The problem went away after couple thousand miles. Now at 5000+ miles it's back. Liked the six speed in my 2017 GT much better.

Extended warranties, maintenance plans, etc. are almost always a waste of money. They are very profitable for the seller, which means most of what you pay them stays in their pocket. Best to pay as you go.

GTs have ANC. Do you know which fuse to remove?

Update - the last two times I've been driving with the top and windows up, there has been no detectible noise from ANC or elsewhere. The latest was today on a 30 mile trip. If this continues, case closed. If not, I'm going to press for replacement of the equipment that implements ANC.

My GT convertible has an intermittent subwoofer-type sound mostly at low speeds with top up and windows closed. I believe it's coming from the Active Noise Cancellation system. If it becomes too annoying, going to try disconnecting the ANC microphones. Otherwise excellent car. Interior much...
