One small point, that Sarah 'n Tuned woman on Youtube said the 19's with 40 profile tyres just looks right. The proper ratio of rubber to wheel.

I couldn't agree more. I witnessed this happen and it was frightening. She shunted three cars out of the way and hit a trailer. If people were around her they would have had no chance, it happened faster than you'd believe.
I don't use it much, but it does work well, you can flick down or up multiple gears and it responds well.
You might also like sport and track modes, the downshifting under braking is a bit of fun.
I bought an auto because I could get it now, not in 6 months for the manual. If both were available it would have been a tough call.
But now there's something I've seen on reviews that concerns me, and that's the ridiculously tall 6th gear. That could be a pain here where we have no high speed...
Having rebuilt a few engines, we used to leave the plugs out and spin them on the starter, it doesn't take long, about 5 - 10 seconds from memory, to see pressure showing on the gauge, and it got up to a reasonable level as well.
The oil pumps were generally gear type
Just about anyone with a few (a lot) bucks and loves having a car not many others will.
It also sounds like a great thing to drive.
I wish I was in the first group, I'd buy one and keep it in the second home I'd buy in Italy.
If I bought a DH as a second toy, it'd have all the racy stuff. Not sure I'd want to give up the auto and heated/cooled seats otherwise.

Your temp gauges are your friends. I warm the car til it's at 60 - 70C for coolant before driving off from 1st start, and I won't cane it until water and oil temps are up to usual temps.
