@Neggytive .... kudos for tipping the tech. the word spreads fast and soon everyone treats my cars like glass. Telling the service manager is also a great idea. As for the dealers using oil out of drums you are also correct. I posted about this on another thread in this forum but fast...
......and the hardest thing on any engine is a short drive. You live in the south and drive short distances ..... geez, change it a lot! :-) The water vapor and acids never get burnt off they just keep polluting the oil. There is NO rule for oil changes. As many have said on this great forum...
Yes, altitude can make a 'uge difference as can humidity and temperature, You may feel your car is "crisper" and it may be - but - I'd bet serious money no one on this forum can detect a 6 HP difference on a 480HP engine. We had owners who we adjusted say a 383 from 400Hp down to 390HP to settle...
RSA had a 2000HP wheel rating a couple of years ago on their twin turbo project. There were some great internet videos of it slaying anything that came near it.....lambos, you name it. I didn't read the literature but you will need engine and that kind of HP. Fun though!
Define safe. Higher octane runs cooler despite any attempt at timing retardation by an engine Higher octane has components that protect valves not even dreamed of in lower octane fuels. Is your 87 really 87 I ask because 87 is IMO totally borderline for engine damage in the Coyote so if you have...
@DarkMatterGrey ....perfect. My grandfather started a construction rental business after the Great Depression. Companies couldn't afford to purchase machinery but could rent it. He had everything from small engines to big earth movers. He employed 15 mechanics at one time. The reliability of his...
@robvas .... agreed. We tore down many engines in my youth at my grandfather's shop. You could easily see who ran their engines with longer oil change intervals and cheaper gas (valve damage) The minute you turn the key after an oil change acids, water vapors and contaminants build. use 91...
@Starship Enterprise ...... well' I'll be - just proves there are dumba$$es everywhere. We built a 383 stroker, marine version (different cam), for a guy. He called back a few months later said it was "running like shit" . It definitely was off when we ran it. Dumba$$ was using cheapest...
......that is just utter incompetence. I would love to see the PDI checklist that all Ford dealers are required to complete. They once checked-off proper clutch travel on my checklist and it was an automatic.
......any modification's beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I never expected to get more HP but thought I might get and believe I did get better airflow .... but to repeat my original post, I bought the kit because I thought it would look good, it was just that simple. Don't overthink it...
@m gunter ..... I do not believe the jacking rails will work on a convertible as they are not compatible with the factory frame stiffening rails that start at/under the trunk area and run forward to each side of the underbody. I would recommend you contact Steeda before purchasing.
@JimC ..... filters are not oiled and air flow is better (measured it with a anemometer). IMO it's a nice look too. If $550.00 is too steep for anyone that's a valid opinion. It wasn't and isn't too steep for me.

Up-date on the Roush kit. Drove the Mustang about 150 miles, part of it a construction zone with a lot of dust. Got home and fingers crossed, lifted the hood hoping the fit of the Roush Kit lids would prevent dust from getting around the contact with the Ford bottom half of the air box. Happy to...
@RC53 ..... when the retailer told me they had no idea when the Corsa cold air intake kit would be ready I asked for my deposit back and bought the Roush. I tried to contact Corsa multiple times by phone and always got voicemail. Corsa used to be very responsive by phone.
Dealer disabled mine and it has never come back on. Start/Stop is very harmful to vehicles (many reasons already mentioned) one really bad on engine like. Unused gas gets dumped into cylinders and dilutes the engine oil reducing its effectiveness over time. Disable the stupid program a.s.a.p.
@Tarz825 ..... I agree and really liked Corsa products. We used their marine through hull switchable high performance exhausts on a lot of the marine HP engine builds we did. Great products 5 star appearance and longevity. My problem was neither Corsa nor their dealers seemed to have any idea...
@EgoBoost ..... Contact Info Roush performance. I emailed Sarah R (Senior Agent Customer Service) at attention Sarah R, several times. She was awesome. Sent me cleaning instructions and knew what she was talking about. Imagine that.....a customer rep that actually...
@the713project ..... good information for us but a PITA for you. I have a convertible. maybe a different sealing process as I have never noticed moisture in that area - of course I will now REALLY check it. Must have been a hell of a leak to corrode your BCM so fast. Geez you have a 25 - mine is...
