Wow, can’t wait to see how this plays out …
I wonder if/when we see some new engine variants.
Coyote evolving from SOHC modular is a 30 year old idea.
Maybe we start to get displacement crazy with modern tech…. Why not 8.0 Litre modern coyote make 700 plus N/A… 14-1500 on boost with ease...
I went stage 2 and installed it myself, almost 2 years ago now. I think a stage 1 kit would be a regret.
top speed limited, less aggressive shift schedule, lower overall power output and less boost/bigger pulley, also you really want to get the cats off and get headers on there… stock exhaust...
No, I don’t think you’d see lower coolant or oil temps… you’re talking about a different “circuit” for lack of a better word. Oil and coolant are all gonna be in the low 200’s
we’re talking inside combustion 1300-1500’s
If you just run E30 you won’t gain anything from the tune except a small bump in redline, a firmer shift schedule (if 10 speed) and reduced lag on throttle input.
but no real gains to speak of.
It’s the whole point… 93 would have lit off faster/hotter under less pressure… less output.
E30 lights off slower/ cooler and with more volume, able to withstand more pressure, earlier spark advance … more output.
Yeah, 93 is your limiting factor… I’d keep it pullied for 12psi or less… bottom 700s
93 just isn’t the sauce…. Plenty of whipple cars on E30 making 850 wheel fwiw…. That’s how much more room for gains a splash of ethanol allows / cooling/ timing wise.
I took mine to a mustang specialist in the area and happily paid 1K for install.
I almost always do my own work, did my own whipple install, lowering springs, half shafts etc…
this is one where, you REALLY need a 2nd set of hands, a lift, and prior experience.
find a reputable shop and get...
No, I don’t think I have specific before/after with the resonator
I went to the track stock, then stock with headers, drag radials, then supercharged on radials, then bias ply, with the new resonator and 3.5 pulley, never went back, I just wanted a 9 second slip and got that letting off.. it...
1. There is no sound you’re gonna notice
2. you will notice all the TQ under the curve you gain, I rarely go WOT as I’m in a city environment, but just cruising and taking off all the extra TQ/HP is so awesome!
