Having ridden for 35+ years, I do not believe loud exhausts save lives. Especially in modern cars with all the sound proofing and powerful sound systems. When car drivers hit a biker it's usually "WTF was that?" or SMIDSEY - Sorry Mate I Didn't See You.

I do like the VAG 'individual' mode setting . You can mix and match most parameters and , on later models, use a slider to fine tune the adaptive dampers.
I'm not over sensitive to noise, but if I can tell a gang members straight piped Hardly from a Ducati from 2 kms away and inside a fully insulated house, It's too f'n loud.

If you have the old rotors, refit them and test. If it's good, I'd check the new rotors for runout (although this should show up in pedal pulsation) and out of round. Also balance, but I'm not sure a wheel balancer can do discs.
Sorry 550 fans, I don't like the look of the older cars at all. I don't know if you got the Ford Mondeo in the States, but they look like sports Mondeos to me.
Otherwise I'm with GTB, I'll take a new car over one that spent it's life being ridden hard and put away wet.
