Care to share what you mean by this? Im seriously considering ordering this grille in the next week, but modifying the drivability and reliability is kinda of a deal breaker for a grille. Voiding warranty on the electrical on a Ford is begging for trouble.

I would probably take the new car. The 7yr 100k warranty is only as good as the dealership that will back it, which it looks like you have a good relationship with. Honestly after a couple months of driving your car, you'll forget it was ever worked on!

Going to have to physically remove it rather then chemically. Some rubbing compound and some elbow grease might do the job.

Lay off the news man! The V8 meets California emissions, its not some inefficient smog machine. The carbon footprint of your V8 is not going to change anything when China is destroying the world producing every other product we use.
