I'm just worried about that the bar where the plate goes is a little narrower than the S550 so the plate might stick out. Hopefully not.
Mine is a Dark Horse, manual, Blue Ember with Recaros - Currently sitting in Baltimore awaiting shipping. Cant wait!
I was actually thinking of not using a bracket and not drilling the bumper and then just using automotive 3M tape to stick the plate on. Currently leaning just going with slimline metal plates both front and back which means the front one can be bent ever so slightly to follow the bumper curve...
Just reviving this older thread now that the first batch of S650s are getting closer to delivery.
Slimline front is a clear slam and dunk but I'm still a little on the fence for the rear. I'm leaning slimline, but keen to get more opinions. What do you guys think?
I'm with you on the 20" vs 19" choice. I reckon I'll stick with 19 as well. I'll probably stick to stock for quite some time, but later I'll see if I can get something wider. Problem with going much wider in the front is the tramlining it creates.
We are a hard bunch to satisfy. 😁
I also love my Dark Horse wheels, I just wish ours had the handling pack version which is much wider. I love the wider stance. Might need to concider some wheel spacers to push out the wheels slightly. Not legal in WA though 🤔
So after a US car is built, the windows sticker can be retrieved here https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=xxxxxxx where xxxxxxxx is the VIN.
Its not working yet for my VIN so I assume its only a US car specific thing? Has anyone else been able to get an electronic...
There's definitely some cars that got pushed back by a month or so. I've seen posts about this for Dark Horse and GTs, both Australian and European customers. I think I was probably just lucky that mine got in before the delay or cut off. Keep your hopes up. I'm sure it will happen eventually...
No mine was always priority 1. Not sure if it's that important or just a way for the dealer to indicate which cars they want built first should they have a batch of the same cars ordered at the same time.
Wooohooo! My Dark Horse is built! Just had confirmation from the dealer now. Next is waiting to see which ship it will end up on.
After waiting almost 3 years for this car, I cant believe it actually exists!
Misha is a master at the ring. Well worth looking through his older videos on his channel. He has driven many other cool cars and other Mustangs as well. He is well respected and a straight shooter. Him liking it to me really solidified that it's a really cool and well performing track car.
Was surprised by this:
Ford improved quite a bit! (https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2024-us-initial-quality-study-iqs)
I wonder if Farley's focus on quality is starting to make a difference...
My allocation month is also January. I checked the status on mine on Friday and the segmentation date was only pushed out by two days since I last checked. Previously 26 June, now 28 June with ETA remaining at 30 October.
Oh right! Thanks, my dealer have been sending me Vista screenshots as well, but I wasn't sure the vessel field will actually be used and populated. I'm going to keep an eye on that once it ships. 👍
