For those wondering with the AMP Pro kit, the center dash harness does have extra connectors, but the 2 main ones are the L/R tweeters. Easy enough to pull the trim out and run a couple of speaker wires to the rear like what I have some pictures of.
I did end up changing my amp layout to this...
Speakers will be next on my list. Trying to find something that matches my sound tastes is difficult. I like the ones you used for the midrange fronts, so i might go that route.
I ended up making a wood mount for my amp and the factory mount :) I cut the carpet in the trunk to give it an access "window"
I have 2 3-channel passive crossovers wired in now and sitting on the carpet next to the amp. thinking i will maybe rewire the things, but I will likely tuck the...
I have not had any issues with Chimes, and I did turn down the chime level with the PAC interface. The chime sound is different, but no issues so far otherwise.
I get all the door open, trunk open, etc, sounds just fine without the center speaker.
i did end up running a 3 way passive crossover...
I have the center speaker disconnected, don't plan on connecting it either. I may run some crossovers for the 3 in the doors, but i will see how it sounds
I want to thank you 1000000000x here, as everything i saw online said the factory amp/dsp was under the dash by the drivers feet, but it's not.. In the trunk, drivers side, mounted just like your ford service picture. talk about wasted time trying to sort out why the connectors didn't match up...
I did send them an email just to make sure.
I also hit up a local installer that came up on the Maestro site, they too didn't know 100%, but they DID say the pac audio ap4-fd31 showed as compatible with the 12 speaker, but nothing on their website confirmed it either. Waiting on a reply from...
Which "harness" ties back the aftermarket amp back to the factory wiring? I was trying myself to find out with this exact kit, but I couldn't sort out with their instructions and never purchased it.
I plan on swapping the factory amp and running a better one with a DSP, but no matter where I...
I've had our DH for 5 months, have 5 chips on the hood and 1 on the bumper. I don't recall any rocks being tossed my way, but with Tampa drivers and roads, anything is possible. I think the paint is simply thin. Agreed, gotta cut costs somewhere, but now it's just needing a good coating and PPF...
Finally got around to getting some StanceSF07 Wheels, here is a before:
And after:
Running 305/35 at 20x11 in the rear and 285/25 at 20x10.5 in the front. Got them through Get your wheels after reaching out to Stance from the forum. Fitment I think is perfect.
I don't use the parking brake, but I have it most every time i back out. Happy to say when I drive around, park, leave, it doesn't happen then... Only when overnight.
I too have a slight "click" or clank when the car is stopped in the garage and i reverse out. It only does it once, and I had a similar issue with my Focus ST. Chalked it up to the brakes hanging a tad
They are merging/have been merging teams, and while on the Google Map side they have a lot of the same/similar features, AA is their own thing. To each their own though, and while I never used the report feature, some do, and maybe they will add the report feature to AA.
