correct, i did open up my grille. The intakes are designed to seal up against the hood but it does pull quite a bit of hot air at idle so I don't think the hood to box fitment is what it's supposed to be.
I did not get any check engine lights. I would take a look to make sure the maf is sealed against the tube with the gasket as well as make sure the pipes on the tubes aren't leaking. Lastly, the boots for the pipe to the throttle bodies is very flimsy and can easily be rolled at the throttle...
They pull through on the engine side. In this pic, you can see I actually do not have it pulled all the way through at the top. (edit- it is pulled all the way through, just appears to not be. Hopefully this pic helps though.
Unfortunately, they cannot. I would prefer those filters, I liked the test results and the quality from them. The reason they do not fit is due to the box design, the S&B filters pull through the box and don't actually attach to a tube.
For those wondering, these are the filters we are talking...
they only come with the lower spring insulators for the rear springs. I was looking to have a complete bolt in assembly, I ended up ordering the ones fro the front springs, part numbers in the original post.

I saw Lethal post they had them available and a few days later they are installed ! Here is a video I made to show them installed as well as some sound clips.

After getting a crack in the windshield early on in my ownership then hearing several rocks hit the front end, I felt it was time to just bite the bullet on some PPF. I know a lot of people are unsure how much this stuff costs, so hopefully this helps people get a ballpark figure on what to...
Air filters are installed and they look like like some high quality filters for sure ! After the grille airflow modifications I knew I needed something more durable than factory. I made this video mainly to talk about the grille change and if it helped lower IAT at all, but I also include the...
My first mod is completed, of course I had to remove the carbon traps but I also took a dremel to the Grille and opened it up a bit for better airflow. I have only driven the car once, to work, but I must say I am very happy with this little adjustment. The throttle response was so dead before...
I got my order in ! They look like a great product and should compliment my upcoming opening of the grille. i will post up and share my install on the youtube channel. I appreciate people like you coming up with quality products for us enthusiasts !
