  1. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

I read this post first before I worked on my project. Some of 18 owners got AE features after changing some codes via Forscan. In my mind, for others didn’t get ae features, I believe they need to change some more codes. Unfortunately the 6g Mustang Forscan list is not completed. I also think...
  2. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

No it’s not. I was actually going to back program if it would warn me. I don’t have to worry about it anymore though. When I press the button on my Mustang, a window pops up and it says ā€˜it’s not available now. Try later’. I am pretty sure it will work once I install a full active exhaust...
  3. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

I just edited the post. I am still waiting for the parts come to my place. Once the project gets done, I will try to organize the steps and post it here. I don't think it's hard to install all of them but it's pricy. You have to spend more money then having 'Ford active valve exhaust'

I got good news. Please see this post https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/adding-active-valve-performance-exhaust-to-a-non-ae-is-feasible-maybe-yes.160794/post-3273163
  5. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

Good news I reprogrammed my non AE Mustang to retrofit the AE without an actuator and its harness. It seems it has been added. Please see the attached pics. Only thing it's not been added is mode select tap on custom profile. I can't find which address is related to the custom mode. Since mine...
  6. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

I will. You can also see a post I keep updating https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/adding-active-valve-performance-exhaust-to-a-non-ae-is-feasible-maybe-yes.160794/) Current status of the project is that I placed an order for the parts. I heard most Ford parts are from the US so It will...
  7. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

You may already know, For S550(16-23) that non-ae, installed the actuator and reprogramed it with Forscan, they got the AE features like provided by the manufacturer. I hope it works for S650 as well otherwise, at least we would learn something
  8. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

Thanks for the info. I don't know why but the longer wire;PR3Z-14A411-S is cheaper than PR3Z-14A411-A one shorter. So I placed order for 2* PR3Z-14A411-S, 2* PR3Z-5K245-B and 1*PR3Z-14A411-C. I will install them when they delivered and re-program without an active exhaust first to see if the...
  9. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

I am not 100% sure about PCM mapping between AE and nonAE but if they are different, they would get different codes on PCM tab Forscan. However, I don't see any specific codes for AE on Forscan.
  10. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

Seem all non-active models have a connector for the evap system and active exhaust. Just non-ae model got a different harness that only connects to the evap. See the attached for details. Theoretically, we can get the factory active exhaust features(I don't know how to add remote rev to EB...
  11. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

Yes it seems like same as the actuator for s550 it only comes with the actuator and the spring but no heat protection plate and a mount. Fortunately I found that https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/thermal-protection/18307628041/ this will fit the actuator but no way to get the mount šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I also found exactly the same one you posted. My friend who’s a mechanic, he told me that the harness seems the one I was looking for. What I will do from now is to get parts needed without a full exhaust system and reprogram first through forscan. I’m just curious if I only need one for each...

Yeah take your time. I really appreciate your assistance. I will also update you if I got anything new.
  16. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

I really appreciate it. I was only looking at Canadian Ford parts site and found PR3Z-5K245-B on US site. It seems like all I need is 2 actuators;PR3Z-5K245-B 2 actuator wires;PR3Z-14A411-A 1 wiring harness;PR3Z-14A411-C and Full active exhaust system Do you believe I can make it work if I...
  17. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

You are right. No need to take risk. It seems PR3Z-14A411-A is a harness that connects to a actuator. What is PR3Z-14A411-C ? I wasn't able to find a pic of the part on google. Can you please tell me part# of an exhaust actuator for S650? I will order all parts I need to retrofit an active...
  18. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

Thanks for clarifying. You got my non active car. I will keep you posted how it goes. I also plan to reprogram via Forscan to activate the AE on the system. Got some questions I found parts number of harnesses and a actuator used for S550 and I heard they also can be installed on S650 follow...
  19. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

Oh Yes pictures were taken quick while I was changing tires. The red circle is exactly where I need to look at, right? I am going to change engine oil and the filter after work today. I will take some pics and post them. From your knowledge, do you know how to connect the actuator harness...
  20. Aftermarket OEM Active Exhaust

Are they connected to what ? As far as I know, on non-ae s550 models, the harness isn’t connected to anything. Mine doesn’t have the wire so it seems I need to wiring work from the battery or PCM sigh !
