I ordered 8/12, GT Convertible, car is built waiting on shipment. Your dealer may not have the allocation, hence the delay. Most folks that are talking about a 5-6 month wait ordered when the order banks opened in March, and production didn’t begin until June. So you can throw away 3 months of...
My understanding from my dealer is that Ford is getting the cars off the factory lot in case of pickets that the truckers will not cross. Mine is via convoy so it is in a lot by the airport.
Yea, the tracker is a pos. My dealer showed me the same screen shots. I was built on 10/11, released 10/12, now waiting for shipment. My tracker didn’t update to built until 10/22. In between 10/12, and 10/22 I received an email from Ford stating that my build was delayed due to supply...
I hear ya. 1st time I asked for the sticker I was there for an oil change, production date I needed to drop off a Ford Performance strut tower brace to be installed when the car comes in. I was able to get a better price online. This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from them in 4 years, so...
So far I would have to say online tracking is a POS. Ordered 8/12, picked up for production on 8/17, email received, tracker active— so far so good. Scheduled for production on 9/29, to be built week of 10/9 no window sticker available. 9/30 needed to go to my dealer for quick lane oil change on...
As a further add- on, the overall quality is so much better than in the past. My 1st Mustang/Cougar was a 1967 Cougar. Within 4 years the body was rotted, and the 289 engine needed a rebuild. Back then I could pull that motor and rebuild it in my garage, todays motors not so easy. I had a 73...
I’ve got to be honest here, on any of these forums you tend to see more bitches and complaints than positive. Go on the John Deere forum and you would think by just reading that all the tractors are falling apart coming out of the factory. Same with the F-150 forum. Yes, some have problems, but...
Yep, I used to always put a spoonful of oil down the cylinders before I would park my drag car for the winter. This was at the recommendation of my engine builder. 90 fox body with a 408–ran 9.90 @ 135.
Ordered 8/12, picked up for production 8/17, into production 9/29, built 10/11. GT Premium Convertible, 401 a package, Atlas Blue, Space Gray interior, 10 auto, 3.55 rear, active exhaust, engine block heater. Dealer showed me exactly where it is sitting, coming by convoy, so just waiting on a...
Tracker was useless. My dealer gave me a copy of the sticker, also got it from ford direct. Mine was built 10/11, tracker still shows it in production, and still no window sticker. Dealer showed my exactly where my car was at, waiting for truck pickup , then to the dealer.
I think the tracker could use some improvement. I updated to in production 9/27, but have never been able to see the widow sticker. Got a copy from my dealer. Scheduled for build 10/11. I talked with suport about the window sticker—absolutely no help.
Unfortunately Ford did not include the key pad on the mustang. I have a 22 F-150, and like the other post I leave my key fob in the console and use the key pad. The only time I take the fob with me is when I am parked at the airport, or traveling in an unfamiliar location.
In production means they are getting assemblies lined up, building the body and moving forward. Build date is when everything comes together to make the car. Like you I am scheduled for the week of 10/9. 9/27 I updated to in production. If you look on your window sticker you will see a blend...
Your blend date 9/25, build date 10/10. Shipping by rail. Then it will be trucked to the dealer. My blend date is 9/27, build date 10/11, shipping by truck.
