When I ordered my Carbonised Grey it was when it was supplied with the Blue callipers which I was quite happy about.
When it finally turned up it was a 25 model so came as yours with the Black.
To be honest I've just left them as is and quite like them now.
Generally speaking any car mod made during the warranty period won’t affect the warranty in the UK unless it’s the part that has been modded that causes an issue to something else that otherwise would be covered by the warranty.
Some dealers are also less friendly than others in this regard.
Mine lives outside and as a daily has already got plenty of wet.
I did say to the SM that now they have added the sealant to something that hadn’t leaked it probably would now do just that - he laughed.
Got mine done today along with the VIN label replacement recall.
No sign of any leak but they applied the sealant anyway as instructed by Ford.
3rd DH they have now done.
No sign of any work other than the sealant aroma.
Car in at 8.30 and done by 1.30.
Is your car also in for a service ?
Hope it goes well - assuming they even need to do anything on the BCM - as mine is Thursday and I’m already apprehensive !
At least that’s something.
Hopefully post doing the outside appears as it does now ie flush. There is a photo here from the US which clearly isn’t !
I can cope with “ mess “ under the cowling.
Realise that as yet don’t even know if it needs the repair.
When I did change my date (now month end ) to have both the VIN label and BCM initially looked at the Service Manager who arranged this said by then they would have received all parts necessary should they be required.
When I called originally the young lady in service said they would organise a...
Yes the nice young lady said mine was the first one they had booked in.
All seems very odd though -the call I first made was about the Vin letter actually received of which she had no knowledge but then when talking she mentioned the second one which I had no letter for.
Using the online portal...
Just looking at some of the US Threads and it seems that the windscreen doesn’t need a replacement but just “moving “ ?
The nice lady at service didn’t know anything about the recall as such but just said it needs a new windscreen as part of the fix which seems to involve a load of additional...
Just phoned the garage to be told it would also need the 25C43 ( BCM ) recall doing ( no letter received ) and as yet they had no details of the Vin label issue.
It sounds like the first recall involves taking out and replacing the windscreen which I assume is what you already knew ?
Car booked...
Haven’t received any BCM notice / letter ( is it just for pre 25 builds ?) but have received a letter saying the VIN label contains incorrect homologation details and therefore the car doesn’t meet regulatory requirements !
Easy quick visit but didn’t want to book in to find later advice of...
As per my earlier posting if it wasn’t for me asking in advance for the top up from the dealer I too would have been equally confused.
As you say the top of the filler cap is marked 5/30 but the pdf copy of the manual makes it equally clear it’s 0/30.
The code is a Castrol code.
Just what...
Fwiw I had the Dealer ( I discussed it with the workshop Manager ) connect my CTEK adapter directly to both battery terminals as I have done with most of my other cars.
Simple plug in at that point without any need to get to the battery itself.
This was the reply from them along with the code -
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
This would be the correct kit for your car and will give enough clearance for the Brembo brakes...
