Agree about the Flows but Iāll call and raise you.
I miss the days of spending $39.95 on a pair of Cherry Bombs from either J.C. Whitney or Honest Charley. Guaranteed 50 hp increase with no CELs!
You are so right; thereās nothing like a black Mustang! I had no plans to add an S650 to the stable but like many of us I enjoy surfing around looking at Mustangs anyway. And my wife evidently enjoys looking over my shoulder. So Iām looking at this one on the dealer website when she walks by and...
Yeah, this right here is on the money. Do whatever blows up your skirt. Your life, your money.
Iām not a hater but I am among those who always dissed the CS as being kinda a Barbie package with no real performance or handling benefit. Then last week I caught myself eyeballing the $12K RTR Spec1...
Neither Ford nor any other manufacturer is gonna change it back. This is the future and theyāre only gonna dig in deeper. To the extent it is an age thing (and Iām not sure that is a 100% infallible rule) that tells all we need to know. We boomers and old timers are dying off so by definition we...
Iāll tell you one more thing about the on-screen fan blower control. You better make your choice and touch the screen fast. Real fast or it disappears! Honestly if I need to make any adjustments at all to the HVAC system itās far easier and safer to just pull over.
Iāve gotten used to the looks...
What, you needed to use a gauge?
I used to know old timers who could synchronize the carbs on a Bonneville or a Commando purely by ear! I could never quite get the hang of it but I loved watching them do it.
OP, Iād reread the above post and then read it again.
As cool as the GT350 is, and make no mistake itās as cool as cool gets, forget about the delta in monthly operating costs. Instead think a little about what it will cost you if the engine should turn loose. When I really get to jonesing for...
Ken, great write-up and overview of the process! Folks would do well to take note of your experience.
Iām not far from your age and I too have come to be a big fan of my ā24 GT. I have other Mustangs and love āem all for different reasons but lately the ā24 has been getting most of the...
What new Shelby are you talking about that has just ācome outā?
Are you talking about the Super Snake thing? I wouldnāt call that a production Shelby in the sense of the GT350/500. Itās more like a whole custom makeover.
You might want to wait until Ford brings out the next production...
I wasnāt there so I have no idea what it was but yes, you were missing something. These cars are pretty darn fast and feel that way. If your current everyday driver is a supercar or something maybe youāve gotten used to it, but otherwise something was off.
If all you care about is how fast it...
I kinda agree with this. Not in the sense that thereās something about a Ford thatās inferior to a Chevy or other everyday car. I donāt at all think there is. More in the sense that itās not a P car or an F car and it isnāt priced as such.
Itās a lot of car for 50 grand-ish.
Theoretically.
If that were the only difference in two otherwise identical bone stock cars you might or might not be able to distinguish which was which. Depends on your experience too.
What Iām about to say is sad but likely true.
With the exception of a few cases where hardcore guys who arenāt worried about the carās value will actually use it as intended, the only performance metric that counts is how fast the car can get to Barrett-Jackson or Mecum. Why would anyone think...
I think your wife is 100% correct. Actually I donāt think it was ever anything other than carefully thought through.
If they want to stay in the game theyāve gotta appeal to the market. And people like me who prefer simple analog are quickly aging out.
Itās a little like the wheels/rims thing...
