  1. Active Valve Exhaust Power/Torque Question...

Agree about the Flows but I’ll call and raise you. I miss the days of spending $39.95 on a pair of Cherry Bombs from either J.C. Whitney or Honest Charley. Guaranteed 50 hp increase with no CELs!
  2. 2024 California Special - Thoughts?

Mags, if you’re talking ā€˜bout the black car with the blue accents let me just say that thing is 100% smokin’ on fire!!
  3. Since I lost out on the vapor blue 10-16 update coming in a couple of days

You are so right; there’s nothing like a black Mustang! I had no plans to add an S650 to the stable but like many of us I enjoy surfing around looking at Mustangs anyway. And my wife evidently enjoys looking over my shoulder. So I’m looking at this one on the dealer website when she walks by and...
  4. 2024 California Special - Thoughts?

Yeah, this right here is on the money. Do whatever blows up your skirt. Your life, your money. Iā€˜m not a hater but I am among those who always dissed the CS as being kinda a Barbie package with no real performance or handling benefit. Then last week I caught myself eyeballing the $12K RTR Spec1...
  5. I love this car but the climate controls

Neither Ford nor any other manufacturer is gonna change it back. This is the future and they’re only gonna dig in deeper. To the extent it is an age thing (and I’m not sure that is a 100% infallible rule) that tells all we need to know. We boomers and old timers are dying off so by definition we...
  6. I love this car but the climate controls

I’ll tell you one more thing about the on-screen fan blower control. You better make your choice and touch the screen fast. Real fast or it disappears! Honestly if I need to make any adjustments at all to the HVAC system it’s far easier and safer to just pull over. I’ve gotten used to the looks...
  7. I love this car but the climate controls

What, you needed to use a gauge? I used to know old timers who could synchronize the carbs on a Bonneville or a Commando purely by ear! I could never quite get the hang of it but I loved watching them do it.
  8. 2024 GT vs 2017 GT 350

Boy does that ever bring back the old days!! It was a lot of fun when it hit though, especially on my open class Huskys and KTMs. What a rush!
  9. 2024 GT vs 2017 GT 350

OP, I’d reread the above post and then read it again. As cool as the GT350 is, and make no mistake it’s as cool as cool gets, forget about the delta in monthly operating costs. Instead think a little about what it will cost you if the engine should turn loose. When I really get to jonesing for...
  10. Finally got a lift in my garage

The Wildfire is a great lift!
  11. Hesistant between to choose GT Base or GT Premium

Ken, great write-up and overview of the process! Folks would do well to take note of your experience. I’m not far from your age and I too have come to be a big fan of my ā€˜24 GT. I have other Mustangs and love ā€˜em all for different reasons but lately the ā€˜24 has been getting most of the...
  12. Best mods for a 2024 Mustang GT with the performance pack and magneride

What new Shelby are you talking about that has just ā€œcome outā€? Are you talking about the Super Snake thing? I wouldn’t call that a production Shelby in the sense of the GT350/500. It’s more like a whole custom makeover. You might want to wait until Ford brings out the next production...
  13. 2024 GT potential buyer having hesitations

I wasn’t there so I have no idea what it was but yes, you were missing something. These cars are pretty darn fast and feel that way. If your current everyday driver is a supercar or something maybe you’ve gotten used to it, but otherwise something was off. If all you care about is how fast it...
  14. Quality and Concerns

I kinda agree with this. Not in the sense that there’s something about a Ford that’s inferior to a Chevy or other everyday car. I don’t at all think there is. More in the sense that it’s not a P car or an F car and it isn’t priced as such. It’s a lot of car for 50 grand-ish.
  15. Kooks headers on my 2024 Mustang GT - sound clip video

Your car sounds really, really good. Curious, will the LTHs cash out your warranty?
  16. 3:15 vs 3:55

Theoretically. If that were the only difference in two otherwise identical bone stock cars you might or might not be able to distinguish which was which. Depends on your experience too.
  17. Official 2025 Mustang GTD Figures: 815 HP / 664 LB-FT / 202 MPH Top Speed

Yes. But 100,00-200,000 is a way off from the ~500,000 + that these will likely fetch at auction.
  18. Official 2025 Mustang GTD Figures: 815 HP / 664 LB-FT / 202 MPH Top Speed

What I’m about to say is sad but likely true. With the exception of a few cases where hardcore guys who aren’t worried about the car’s value will actually use it as intended, the only performance metric that counts is how fast the car can get to Barrett-Jackson or Mecum. Why would anyone think...
  19. Why would you do that? - A thread

Yeah this right here. My mama preached it when I was 10-11 and now I’m mid-70s so do the math.
  20. anyone have: 2024 GT Grabber Blue // with black rims and blue calipers?

I think your wife is 100% correct. Actually I don’t think it was ever anything other than carefully thought through. If they want to stay in the game they’ve gotta appeal to the market. And people like me who prefer simple analog are quickly aging out. Itā€˜s a little like the wheels/rims thing...
