I used X plan on my GT. Another dealer had the Dark Horse and a friend who works there called to let me know they had one optioned the way I wanted. Then he told me, "there is an additional mark up of $5,000". I told him thanks, but no way I am paying ADM and that I would go with the GT at...
I put my 2019 winter wheels and tires on my 2024 with no problem (other than the slightly smaller 255-40x19 instead of 274-40x19 on the rear). Wheels fit no problem, but the TPMS sensors are different for the 2024 so either you have to replace them with new or just ignore the light for the next...
I daily drive my Mustang, always have. Even my 1965 convertible in college. I used to commute from Port Huron to downtown Detroit in my 2006 with a supercharger. Did it in SE Michigan with my 2013, 2017 EcoBoost and 2019 EcoBoost. Never had an issue with snow.
I got a walk through. My sales guy though knows a lot about Mustang. He is the President of Mustang Owners Club of SouthEast Michigan and previously worked for Roush and Saleen. And he hosts a podcast about the Mustang.
That is different from the start/stop that is being discussed. The start/stop is the "feature" that turns the engine off when you stop for a light and then restarts it when you give it gas. I hate that feature and am glad my 2024 missed it! We had it on my wife's BMW and luckily could turn it...
I had to replace the battery on my GT within the first 1,000 miles. The original one wouldn't hold a charge, and was causing all kinds of notifications (like the power train fault) and my screens kept changing on me.
I haven't ever had a warning like I used to get on my 2019 Mustang and on my wife's 2019 Lincoln.
Today it was snowing hard. After several miles in a quick blizzard got the "pre collision not available" warning. But I wasn't surprised because every car I have had with the system gets that in...
And Ford won't let you set it to anything other than "quiet" or "normal" because of the various decibel level laws around states and municipalities. Too much risk for them to allow you to change the setting from anything other than default mode (normal) unless it is quiet setting.
It is a Ford requirement I believe. Not sure how Ford would enforce an MCA rule and Ford just wants to be sure that you are actually a member entitled to the plan. Just like if you go through an employer (I used to get X plan through work at a bank) you have to prove that you are an employee...
I checked mine yesterday because I wasn't positive. I ended up with the Pirelli Scorpion because the shop couldn't get the Blizzaks I wanted - I knew that they weren't the Blizzak but couldn't remember for sure which I ended up with. I am surprised at how well the pIrelli work; they were not...
Mine did that the first week I had it as well. Took it to the dealer and they said there were no codes but the battery was very low. After charging up the battery it was fine, until the battery got low again. For some reason the original battery wouldn't hold a charge and it was replaced.
I used the wheels and tires from my 2019 with 19x9 all around and the 255-40x19 snow tires. No issues with them fitting. The speedometer is off just a little bit with the 255-40's (i.e. doing 70 mph on the dash is really more like 71 mph, and every 10 miles the odometer is off a little bit so...
