I'm a minimalist so it just seems excessive to me. Everyone has different perspectives. I remodeled my whole house with a 4 door Chevy Cruze so it seems excessive TO ME. One vehicle in fact can serve multiple purposes to save money if you are skilled enough. They recently switched the whole...
It is. I'm not a big fan of police motorcycles either. Just seems like they would be better off with something with 4 doors instead of calling another unit in to finish the job. Seems inefficient and a waste of tax payer gas in my opinion although calling in backup is standard in some places...
Maybe it doesn't matter being the oil filters have anti drain back valves. I was just curious what you guys recommend if anything. My car has been sitting for a couple days due to bad weather.
I'm kind of surprised a Mustang enthusiast outside of a collector would buy those used Mustang cop cars unless it was at a deep discount. You gotta know those things were ran hard and idled forever and a day.
Why are cops allowed to have cars like this? How are they supposed to arrest someone and safely secure them in the back seat? Are they handcuffed to a special apparatus in the backseat somehow? They would like have to get in the backseat with them to even secure them to something. This makes no...
The only way to ever get my dash cam to power down while plugged into the mirror was to make sure I locked the doors. Unfortunately, I also had to set the dash cam to motion detection so eventually the camera would stop trying to do things and turn itself off as even locking the doors didn't...
You could do us all a favor by dyno testing a manual S550 vs a manual S650 on the same day. The S550 crowd is still clinging to the "it wasn't the same day on the same dyno so past results don't count" theory.
Yea, seems like overkill and kind of odd they used both types of fasteners. I was kind of spoiled with the oil changes on the Chevy Cruze. Didn't even have to jack the car up.
What did you use to get the oil filter off? All I have right now is one of those old wrap around style filter wrenches with the thin metal band. Is that what you used or did you use a cup style filter wrench of a certain size? Any special swivels or extensions involved?
Thanks for the response. I value your opinion as you seem pretty knowledgeable around here :) I'm going to stick with the 5W-30. I found a "Garage Box" that is bulk discounted vs what I used to pay for it in the 5 quart jugs. I exclusively used this oil in my Cruze and the cross hatching is...
Thanks for explaining! Did you have to remove the wheel or wheel well liner to do it that way? Did you need any special sockets, extensions, swivels or oil filter wrenches to do the job? Sounds like you can drain the pan without removing anything from the underside of the car. I have a lot of...
I stumbled across this article in Motor Trend this morning. It's newer as it's only from 3 or 4 days ago and it's a compilation of every 2024 Mustang tested they have been able to get their hands on. Do these times mean the convertible is pretty much just as fast as the coupe? I thought...
