1D thread engagement is the absolute bare minimum for anything.
1.5D is more normal on a loaded application where the bolt will fail before the thread. Full safety is 2D when threading in aluminium etc
Interesting i had a look around that dealer this morning and it wasn't there (other car was in for service next door) maybe it was in the workshop or something. They had a 74 plate DH and a new GT both auto's
Mustangs / Dark horses must be like busses, barely seen another 7th gen in 18 months and have seen two different dark horses in my town in 3 days. First was another blue ember (on a private X plate), today was the vapour blue on a regular 25 plate.
In looking up the other colour on the ford...
Very unlikely considering they've stopped taking orders on DH's at present you can only buy what's already been made.
I've just checked all 62 Mustangs that ford UK have in stock. Most are MY25, some are 24.5 still. There are no MY26's yet despite being nearly half way through the production run.
When the price of an oil barrel is heavily influenced by social media posts of certain people and the volume of trades surges just before the post happens something smells fishy ...
It was mapped by Motorsport and performance on the Dyno as Whipple don't support export spec. If they did remove the particle filters it's no longer road legal in Europe which kinda defeats it being a daily driver but explains why the video is on the old top gear track. It will be back tracked...
He's not running 91 tho. His first review he was running synth fuel. I suspect it would of been mapped to our 99 (93-94 us equivalent) deffo modded exhaust as the particulate filters limit power a lot. He says stage 1 but it's far from a 1 and is bespoke to him
Interesting that you say US prices went up during covid, in the UK they went way down due to excess supply and no demand. At times fuel was being sold at a loss because tankers were arriving at ports and the fuel had to be moved on.
I remember when it dropped under £1/l for the first time since...
There is a level of profiteering involved, the UK gov has 'promised' to look into it but are way to late about that.
Diesel here has been hit far worse but petrol is still bad.
95 was £1.239/l with 99 £1.319($6.6) it's now £1.349 and £1.469 ($7.35)
With diesel was £1.279 now £1.519
On day 1 an...
No matter how you tune it the sound comes from combustion down the exhaust. Usually unburnt fuel hitting the cat. With heavily retarded timings this will still be the case.
It's not cat safe.
Most export specs have OPF's as well.
I used to have an E60 M5 (the one with the bigger brother S85 V10) that's much closer in terms of size / power / weight etc to the S650 (even had adaptive dampers). As well it had a 500hp 5L engine just with a V10 instead of V8 and in America you could get it with a 6 speed manual, europe was...
In the UK that's being covered by brands such as BYD and MG.
The formers sales were up nearly 500% in 2025 (up 40k+ sales) and nearly half that of Fords since entering the market 2 years ago. More strong growth in 2026 and they'll surpass ford. They've already overtaken Tesla here.
Ford on the...
Ford has been showing signs of pulling out of UK / Europe for some time now. They've axed the best selling car (fiesta) and pretty much finished off the next best seller (focus) and have left themselves with vehicles people aren't interested in (Capri/explorer/ranger) the best selling vehicles...
Each are the right size for their home market. But market demands vary.
And yes climate demands will override auto stop start and since ford don't use twin batteries on the mustang electrical demands will override it too.
Export DH's do have it for the developed world markets.
The price of vehicles and annual taxation rates are determined by the homologated emissions, which are baseline checked during inspections.
Self reporting by the vehicle and random sample testing in the field using RDE2.
Under RDE2 the...
I prefer being able to see where i'm going and for ya know lights to be functional.
To those commenting about the ride height, it's on air suspension so it's on the parked / slammed mode, it will lift up for actual driving else it would get stuck on a pebble.
