I would say sweet spot only as far as you go automatic if you are going drag racing otherwise I would say the Tremec and with that the DH is a must…$$$
Since you had both SS1LE and Mach 1 why dont you give us your opinion of both cars ! I had the SS1LE and really liked the handling which was very precise and neutral which made it easy to drive fast but it was not much fun as it was not playful and the engine made decent power but never felt...
I hear what you say but I think the M2 looks different and sticks out from the sea of me too sameness which I like…Controversial looks or ugly as some say is better than boring to me…So thats no negative point to me…All for me thats missing is V8 sound which I love! As powerful smooth and quick...

You meant 2016 as also the alpha platform is better than the S550 carryover from 2015 in the new S650…But a new Mustang is still better than no Camaro…🤣
Another observation as we all know the Coyote lacking Torque which makes it slow below 100 mph but gaining on top with 23.2 seconds 0-150 for the DH and a even 23.3 for the 2019 S550 while Camaro SS1LE / C7 GS needed 25.6/24.2 seconds…Btw a Challenger HC WB needed 22.2 sec 0-150 while the M2...
I dont think they are beautiful the M2 or M4 with its beaver teeth but they look interesting and stick out in a sea of sameness which is not bad in my book.Better than boring for sure and the DH does not look right in the front either with way too much overhang and the beltline over the front...
What do you mean you dont notice it anymore ? The car either follows every rut and it tramlines that a cop following you pulls you over because thinks you are drunk or it does not tramline...I also think a lot has do do with the steering geometry and the steering knuckles because my SS!LE did...
It would have been cool if C&D would have thrown in a used SS1LE and Challenger WB 6-spd into the mix since they never tested any of those for whatever reason !? And maybe even a C7 Z51 and a Carrera S and then let Randy Pobst drive them for a few laps on the track...! Wrong magazine as this...
Performance Coupe Showdown: 2023 BMW M2 vs. 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse

Car and Driver just posted a comparison of the last 2 semi affordable practical and sporty daily...
I would find myself one of the last Charger 6.4 / 392 Scatpack Widebodies because handling will be better than on the chrysler and the wide fender flares look good...Good luck to you and your girlfriend ! JUst food for thought the Challenger WB can be had with a manual...LOL
Turning on like it has tear wheel steering is not oversteer but rotation feeling like a Dyson where the whole vehicle turns instead of the front turning and then…the rear follows after a felt second.Rotation is immediate and fun !
I hear you ! I think MT had a pretty good comparison between the S650 and the Challenger 392 WB lately…They said the Mustang was a conflicted car not knowing if it was a sportscar or a cruiser lacking torque acerbated by tall gearing but still the winner because of being the more modern car...
Crappy BMW…LOL I think looking at recalls and warranty costs Ford is topping that list unfortunately…I mean even Toyota let BMW design and produce their Supra says a lot as the B58 makes Lots of power and that very reliable…1000 hp from a stock block that has only 3 liters is nothing to sneer...
Sad truth is there is no alternative anymore unless you dont need V8 sound as in BMW M2/3/4 which still have a manual and can be had with up to 1000hp and AWD to actually put the power down…Saw a video on youtube I think National Speed where a M3 did likd a 2.5 0-60 and 9.8 /142 in the quarter...
Marty the S650 is everything But an amazing value but kudos to Ford to make the only car with a manual and a V8…That alone makes it better and more fun to drive than the C8 which is only great if you like a comfortable cruiser with a nice interior because sports car feeling and experience it...
