Finally got around to buying a CTEK MXS 5.0 charger to keep my battery topped up. I've hard-wired a CTEK extension to make connecting it up easier (adding a fuse along the way). Done the same with my SLK - too many cars and not enough time driving them!
Problem with mine is that it goes to 'Remote features disabled to preserve battery' after a couple of days in the garage (or some such message), but the battery still works. A long motorway drive will sort it. I reckon if I take it in under warranty, they'll just say it's because I'm not...
Interesting that you're having battery issues so soon. My Dark Horse is the same. I put it down to the length of time is was sitting in compounds in the US waiting for export.
I'm lucky to have a second set of OEM alloys with Michelin Alpin 5 tyres which I can highly recommend if budget allows. I ran them from the beginning of January to mid-March, and the grip was night and day compared to the Pirelli's. Probably overkill for the UK, but it gives me confidence in...
Just picked it up after having the recall work done. Hood up and the only visible evidence of the black sealant is through the holes left and right on the cowl, where it looks neat. Probably not going to take the cowl off to have a proper look because I can do without the stress if it's a...
Mine is now booked in for the recall work on the 19th. They've got a windscreen company coming in to do it, which seems like overkill from what I've seen of the recall work instructions. But at least it will probably be done correctly. Well, here's hoping.
Mine was also in for its first service today. Car needs to go back in to have the recall sorted, but they are waiting for availability from a specialist company to remove and re-fit the windscreen. It seems the RHD fix is different to the LHD fix which has widely been discussed on these forums?
But you're serviced by Ford America and we're serviced by Ford UK (as indicated by this being a UK thread). To my knowledge Ford UK hasn't sent any letters out, the only indication was in the Ford Pass app. A recall issued by Ford America isn't automatically replicated in other territories...
Is the spacer just needed if the spare is going on the front? I bought the wheel from America and it came with the spacer but I just stashed it all in the boot without taking much note of the instructions.
For anyone interested, the part number for the bottom lip of the Dark Horse front bumper is PR3Z-17D957-BA (European Part Number 2602922) and it costs ÂŁ267 from a Ford dealer. :crying:
I'll stick to reverse parking from now on!
FYI, the Recaro's for the UK, EU and Australia are electric adjustment (except the back recline). Bizarre how it's a feature deemed essential for the export markets, but not the home market, but that's Ford I guess...
I'm in the UK so have the same EU speed limit notification. I've been through loads of different options using Forscan but haven't been able to disable it. I have however managed to enable the 'Speed Limit Assist Tolerance' menu but that only allows upto 4MPH over-speed (goes to 5MPH in the...
