Absolutely no idea what you are on about - my posts are crystal clear and you are choosing to ignore them. Do you not understand the BMS system? Do you not understand the BCM setting that sets the target SOC (80%)? Do you not understand how the BMS achieves that using the alternator output?
Of...
Ehh?
The engine is running in everything I have mentioned above, nothing to do with testing a battery with the engine off. I am well aware how to check a battery SOC on a non-running car.
Not sure why you are finding this so difficult to understand?
ALL Ford cars have a BMS that determines...
What is not true? What simple test with a voltmeter?
ALL Ford cars and trucks use a BMS system in this way with a target SOC of 80% as a default
Check out the BCM settings here for the 2024 Mustang:

You have clearly never watched the video showing the underbody airflow that generated real downforce using the underbody and strakes :giggle: Ford wasted their time with you obviously.
Of course quite a few 'foreign' cars are domestically built and some 'domestic' cars are foreign!
BMW make cars in the US, Ford make cars in China etc etc.
Not sure where you missed this but there are plenty of threads on here and other Ford forums / Forscan forums where it states the BMS restricts charge to 80% SOC to preserve battery life. In some cars you can change this using Forscan.
That is 100% true :giggle:
The running voltage of the...
There seems to still be some confusion here......
Power folding mirrors and auto folding mirrors are not the same thing.
Power folding mirrors were fitted to the S550 in Europe but they did not auto fold on lock, they only folded if you pressed the button
S650 mirrors auto fold on lock here...
I think also that once a battery is discharged once they really do suffer from then on. Letting them go flat and then using a booster to start them will not be a solution as the battery will be destroyed. It takes a LONG drive to recover from a cold start, I did a 5 hour drive in the summer (my...
Oh you do have a problem don't you :giggle: You seem to be completely ignoring my explanation (repeated thrice now) and just wanting to rant. If you had even bothered to read Roket's post properly you would have seen it referred to folding mirrors not autofold on lock, but then you seem to...
US spec RHD?
The mirror design determines what happens. They are either the US spec mirrors (rectangular type shape) which can fold using the door controls or the Europe / ROW spec mirrors which are larger and can auto fold or manually electrically fold using the controls on the door.
Yes I can read what I posted - as I said the S550 didn't have them and there were NO S650's in Europe in June 2024 for us to know that it had changed for the S650. It is called posting in good faith which seems to have passed you by. You accuse me of lies and yet are unable to read my response...
This is quite an old thread and my reply was about the S550 which did not have autofold. At the time we didn't have any S650's here as none had been built but when they arrived they do indeed have autofold now in Europe including the UK
