There has been plenty of evidence presented in this thread as to why that is incorrect.
Do you really think engine designers are going to watch a Youtube video and go 'Jeez we never thought of that'!
90% of engine wear is on a COLD start, not a hot start.
There is very little additional wear...
It didn't fall apart at 6 years and a day! I had the car 6 years so cannot comment beyond that but there was no evidence it was about to self destruct overnight.
10 years is an old car and near to end of life design wise. More than 50% of cars are gone by 10 years with the average age of cars...
My 2019 S550 interior was tough but somewhat lacking in material quality. After 6 years of daily driving it was wearing well.
My S650 is a big step forward in terms of material quality and certainly not far adrift of some German marques now (especially as some of them seem to be going backwards...
As I said before, driving on the roads (especially here in the UK) the Golf R is long gone.
Mustang GT is a GT, Golf is a hot hatch - different cars for different jobs, although the Golf R is a very good distance car as well.
Where is that?
Race track?
Mustang V8 couldn't keep up with 2WD Focus ST on roads in North Wales so a Golf R would be long gone.

There is no company in the world that will not (or even be able too) pass on most or all of the tariff costs to the buyers. Some people are deluded on here as to what they think company profit margins are. Other than Ferrari zero car makers have a margin exceeding 10% and most are around 5% or...
Agree - inflation plus tariffs.
Honestly post after post moaning about prices of Mustangs when all other cars have gone up too by similar amounts. It really is a case of shouting at the sky!
Oh and those 'cheap' M2's (Mexico) and M4's (Germany) will not be so cheap when cars subject to the...
You need to be careful to compare like with like on the car spec.
Here in the UK the increase in price is pretty much entirely covered by inflation and tax changes, although we get a unique spec to the US which is pretty much your top spec all along.
I paid ÂŁ42k in 2019 for my S550 which in UK...
Mustang went from 2 USB, one in centre cubby one on lower dash (S550) to 2 together in the dash (one is now USB C) on the S650. Some markets also have one at the top of the windscreen by the rear view mirror for power only.
For power there is a 12v socket in the centre cubby which you could...
Just check out how different the prices of everything are compared to 2018. It's called inflation. You get paid more now too (assuming you do the same job / hours etc)
To you maybe. To be fair the hot hatch is not something that has ever had the following in the US that it has here in Europe. We have corners here and a Focus RS would leave a Mustang for dead on our roads.
Like all similar Fast Fords prices are rising here now.
Ahh for the US maybe there will be long term damage. It is sailing in the opposite direction to most of the world at the moment - only one of those directions will turn out to be right long term.
But for example Ford have been building engines at the Windsor plant since 1923, often with...
