  1. Active exhaust compared to standard on 5.0?

$1500 for 6hp at the crank (advertised). Something you will never feel. So it's a looks/sound thing. Personally, like the single tip exhaust sound and looks.
  2. Loss of power at 6,000 RPM 2025 GT

90% of this thread is completely irrelevant. I've had the same issue. FYI... raced top levels of amateur level of racing for 18 years. This isn't some stupid "lets discuss torque/HP math thread". So stop. The car clearly is closing down the throttle body(s) around 6k at WOT. You can...
  3. Do I have the "Brembo" brakes??

re: continental... That's what I understood to be on the S550 (based on various forums), but not the S650 as they are actually branded Brembo.
  4. Do I have the "Brembo" brakes??

Yes... the front are Brembo (standard). The rears aren't. The "Brembo Brake Package" has larger Brembo front brakes & Brembo rear brakes. So you don't have the Brembo Brake package, but you do have front Brembo brakes.
  5. Looking for upgrades for track use (novice driver)

It's doing a lot of things to keep it from over steering too much while allowing you to have some fun.
  6. Looking for upgrades for track use (novice driver)

That's why you felt like , "Also, it's funny how sometimes the rear end looks like it's going to overtake, but somehow it stays behind. "..... ESP (and I'm no expert here) is "less aggressive" vs the "long push-n-hold" off. But that's why "it stays behind".
  7. Looking for upgrades for track use (novice driver)

Get a driving instructor first. You can upgrade the car all you want... but if you really want to learn to drive, you should get a street legal track car that has no electronics or driving aids/aero ... light and cheap. run some r compounds. Go beat that car up learning to drive. Do they...
  8. Cutting Wheel Studs - Safe or No Way?

Slip on spacers are the way to go if you can in terms of safety. Can't run anything other than that on the track... for the reasons you stated. And I'm a track guy so I get it. That said... I've run, for many years and on several cars... street cars, the bolt on spacers. Zero...
  9. Cobra Jet Manifold (for S650)

Maybe I'm off... I thought I saw a 2 x 60mm throttle body setup recommended (reminds me of the similar TB from the IROC Z and Corvettes 1985+ lol So are the intake ports of the intake manifold opened up since there would be 2 x 80mm OEM S650 throttle bodies feeding the intake manifold?
  10. Cobra Jet Manifold (for S650)

It's a racing intake. If you're team racing these cars seriously or a serious road racer yourself and you're in a you're not using the OEM ecu anyway. I'd love to see some runs with this intake... I'm guessing will probably take a hit in the midrange. Impressive straight up. So much...
  11. Is anything securing the brake rotor to the hub, OR it just sit on the hub and only get clamped in place once the wheel and lug nuts are installed?

For some reason I thought I saw a picture with this thread, which showed a caliper adapter bracket....that's why I replied like I did. wrong thread I think
  12. Dark Horse premium allocation?

are DH's going for over sticker?
  13. New 2026 GT

    sayin....
  14. I was wrong, Dark Horse does not have forged pistons and rods

Don't forget the beautiful 80% closed off air intake grill lol
  15. Has anyone noticed hood lift?

Mine are tight. I played with them to adjust panel alignment. I see zero movement, but then again, I haven't had the car really in to triple digit speeds. On the race car at 150+mph... the glass hood has a lot of movemente.
  16. Has anyone noticed hood lift?

That may be the case. Mine doesn't. But those vents will produce a low pressure area which will produce lift in that area. If the threaded rubber stops are loose, it will allow for more movement.
