I'm guessing it's the stupid eco A10 programming that's got you down. It's quick to skip shift to 3rd gear and makes you go deep in the pedal before it finally decides to downshift and give you power. The priority of the program is clearly gas mileage over performance and it just feels silly in...
Plus this is our chance to talk shop with a kid in an s650. Since the 650 was supposedly designed for the newer generation I am curious, how does Rambo feel about all the tech and screens?
This car has the A10, do you guys think his transmission fluid level is correct?
I am also curious if his...
I believe the factory 20s require the steel brace, gotta support those big wheels.
If your car has the factory 20 inch wheel option then it will come with the steel cowl brace.
Heads up on the novistretch bra.
It absorbs a lot of grit and then retains it against your paint.
You have to clean it after basically every trip or it will rub wierd spots into your paint.
I have to say that, looks aside, I wouldn't recommend one.
I could be wrong and maybe your transmission is slipping but I believe the car is designed to enter an unseen high performance mode when you perform the actions you described.
Flooring it and immediately letting off the gas should switch the car to a very aggressive shifting strategy and first...
Yep you have to jack the car up to check the fluid or bring it to a shop. Has to be checked hot and requires someone to move the gear shifter. Also the dipstick is coded instead of just full/minimum the tech has to look up where on the dipstick your car should be. It's basically the worst car...
I went with the RainX Silicone Advantage blades. They wipe really well, they are standing up to abuse a bit better than the factory ones, and they respond much better to a gentle cleaning. Not sure it was worth the price though, still on the fence there. I'll probably try something different...
I would replace the wipers too, they can become degraded and will work like crap even if they're cleaned
I only made it 1,900 miles/7 months on factory wipers before I had to swap
Those are still around?
If it bothers you this much I would just move on and keep looking. I might even consider using the seat modification money on traveling to a car so you can expand your search area a bit
I'm going to guess ~$750 for a dealer to take apart the front and fix the grille and replace the shutter assembly and reassemble. Totally just a guess though.
If you're not using insurance then I don't believe the repair will hurt the resale.
It's wild that $40k doesn't even cover a new GT anymore. Blue is really popular too which drives prices up. It's also mid spring now which drives prices up.
$40k is about $5k shy of a new one so you're really close. There are some nice low mileage used ones that could be had for $40k though...
