I agree 100%.
No drone either.
People ask me all the time if I have a stock exhaust because they cannot believe how good it sounds. I run sport and also track. It works for me but I get it that folks want to make the car their own and unique. that's what owning a Mustang is all about !
I agree with others in that Ford seems to have issues with water leaks. My 03 GT vert had one. Behind passenger seat the carpet would get wet after rain. Turned out to be gaps in seam sealer between floor pans and frame. I guess the robot ran low on seam sealer when my car was being manufactured.
So from what I am reading, it seems like a simple issue to check. Remove the passenger side shield and inspect. As one step further, spray water down the cowl on that side and observe. Yes? No? Maybe?
I also use Sport with exhaust set to Track.
I find that sport mode behaves best when I don't baby the throttle and am more decisive in accelerating rather than kind of hanging around certain spots in throttle pressure and "feathering" the throttle. I realize that is confusing but it's the best...
I let it idle a bit before taking off and I'm easy on it until it warms up. IMHO what I find even more important is to drive away and for the first few minutes, maybe 5 or so, NO music or anything else on. Why? Because you want to listen to the car. Listen for odd noises, sounds and such while...
I have the UPR version on the passenger side only. When I ordered, they had an updated version that has the cannister able to slide on the mount. Easy to clean and looks good.
Unrelated but Wifey's 24 VW Atlas was making a buzzing noise at certain speeds. Sounded like it was coming from the dash. After pressing down on all points with no luck, pushed on the EzPass mounted to the windshield with that clear 3M velcro stuff and it was loose. Problem solved.
Did the Ford part number for the starter change when they began equipping the cars with SS?
Also, Wifey's 24 VW Atlas has it and we both hate it. VW does disable it if you are running climate control which is good.
Wifey and I take long trips, couple of hundred miles each way, on weekends with highway and back roads type driving (upper NYS) and this is one of the best touring cars I have ever owned in my 65 years on earth. Mine is stock 401a premium with AE and automatic, no MR, and I absolutely love it...
Thank you for that!
Those points would be my choice as well. I'm assuming the Ford manuals don't mention them is because for their purposes jacking up the car would be either for a flat tire, so consumer, or on a lift, professional mechanic.
Right.
One pad on the front pinch weld and one on the rear.
So say you are jacking up the car to remove a front wheel.
You place your jack under the pad in the front and lift the car.
So far so good.
Now following good safety procedures you place a jack stand under the car to keep the front off...
It's INITIAL QUALITY.. So how good is the car when you buy it and not how good is the car a year later when the recalls start. That being said, I'm kind of surprised because usually the boutique brands like Rolls and so forth do really well on surveys like this and mostly because people paying...
The convertible has a different part number on the Steeda site. Oddly, the convertible version comes with the spacers and the coupe version says
" Note: S650 Models require the optional spacer kit to ensure jacking rails are level.
The pictures on the vert version also show the spacers where...
