I would lift the car or at least the rear wheels off the ground and put it in drive while someone watches from the rear to see if there is any wobble either side to side or up and down. This will test the tires on the actual car with the car driving the wheels. I would also check suspension...
I didn't realize Hammond has been going through so much turmoil in his life. I wish him well. Not being a track person but having grown up in the 70's with muscle cars, for me, it's all about the magic one feels driving a car. It's one of the reasons I do not like EV. Sure they are very fast...
Nice! I was waiting for Hammond's review. I like how he juxtaposes the world turmoil with the escape he gets driving the Mustang and without getting political. I think many of us car enthusiasts get the same feeling when we drive our Mustangs. Forget about things we can't control for a little...
Yes.
I was just about to post after scanning the Shop Manual. It seems in the VCT section they make mention of the algorithm but not much info. Also in the component and wiring connector sections there is also no mention of a sensor. Nice post! thanks!
Interesting thread. FWIW I LOVE my s650. Last fun car was a 2003 GT Vert Centennial. Loved that car and gave it to my son with 225k miles on it running perfectly. I've had my share of family trucksters. Caravans which ran fine up until my 2012 T&C which was a money pit. Tranny, every other part...
I'm 64yo and my last car was an 03 GT Centennial (premium) vert and my 24 GT premium auto runs circles around it. I've driven everything from a 72 Duster to a 78 Trans Am, chicken and all, 1984 VW GTI, and a pile of family trucksters after that. For ME, this Mustang is insanely a great car...

To my ears, the factory sub has too much mid-bass thump and lacks a solid honest lower end.
I have the Pioneer replacement but have not had a chance to install yet.
TBH, aside from that, my biggest complaint is a lame EQ system on the stock head unit.
Three bands?
No parametric?
Heck a $199...
Carplay seems more stable with the update. Only odd thing, and this might be normal, but sometimes the bongos don't play but some chime sound instead... Does this mean something? I like the bongos :)
Bad hip at 64yo. I learned to drive in a Chevy Van 3 on the tree. My first new car was a 1984 Rabbit GTI manual. My driving goes from stop and go to 65mph all the way so i saw no benefit in going manual. I don't race or track. I do play around with the paddle shifters though. It's enough for me.
