because it's either a) a single point of failure ... or b) a major oversight that is simply embarrassing.
Or c) they don't give a lollipop, they have better things to worry about, like how nobody is buying their Mach E's
to recap:
1. There was never such opening there before, not in any other model of Mustang
2. it looks ugly like a part is missing
3. the lining is made out of felt-like material with multiple round drain holes, from which water can escape. So absolutely yes. (pic taken from...
I recommend calling local Ford dealers. They may have exactly, or nearly exactly what you're looking for. Lots of times people place an order, then decide not to buy.
Smaller wheels = much smoother ride. I am def. noticing the difference since I went to smaller wheels. Goes over speed bumps a lot better, as well as potholes.
I’m saying that if I simply drive at the same RPM, I’m wondering if the gas usage differs between the various drive modes. Because it sure sounds different.
Thanks.
Hi. This question has been posted before, but the responses are all contradictory. So my question is: on my base GT without active exhaust with manual transmission, will I use as much gas if I drive in Sport mode vs. Normal default mode? The reason I'm asking is that I don't really feel the...
These cars are pretty dependable. My old '07 Mustang GT never broke down on me. It has had stupid issues like water leaks, squeaking, hand brake freezing when parked, speaker rattles, but it never left me stranded. One time it put itself into a "limp home" mode.. restarting made that go away...
I am pretty certain that there was meant to be some kind of a rubber plug for these holes installed from behind. Somebody forgot to do that. These holes are ugly and absolutely no way that they were created for aerodynamics, or else they would look like they were meant for it. Not something...
888 327 4236 (Vehicle Safety Hotline) is another number you should call. This is how various TSBs get created, from enough people complaining about various issues.
Make sure to clean all that dirt/rocks before doing anything, or else it'll be trapped there forever. For that the liner would...
This is what my mechanic came up with. Used a door mat to make the patch. All that was needed to prep the material was to remove the fuzzy surface from it. It is flexible, it is as thick as the liner, and these door mats last forever.
Also, instead of taking off the liner, my mechanic used...
I am taking my car to a mechanic this Saturday. I bought a floor mat, and the plan is to cut out patches out of that material, and use metal rivets. I'll post pictures if it works out.
Those plastic fasteners will get lost/get damaged. Could somebody please post part numbers for all in there? I would like to buy a bag of those. thanks in advance!
So the flaps are a good fit, but they do not cover the hole underneath, as you can see. I honestly don't see the point of putting these on, as they would not cover the hole underneath, where all the salt/gravel can still enter the wheel well lining area.
Gorilla tape (extra wide) works great so far. I also bought felt adhesive patches, and Gorilla swimming pool patch tape. For now, Gorilla tape does the job. I will try out the flaps in the next couple of days. If my mechanic says it's good to go, I'll cover the area with multiple layers of...
My old Mustang came with summer tires, forgot what exactly they were, and I had no choice but to drive it. Drove it year-round, maybe not the best decision. But I've never had any experience with tires kicking up any gravel, damaging quarter panels, or anything like that. Just normal driving...
I've gotten the basic walk-through. I had prepared several questions ahead of time, for example, I knew I wanted to disable the auto rev matching, so wanted to know how to set that. My sales guy told me what he thinks should be enabled/disabled as well. For example, we disabled the feature of...
Even if there are no rocks/gravel inside, on snowy days, salt will definitely get in there... and get trapped in there rusting out the bottom. Think about it, as you drive on the wet salty road, the wheel lining always gets wet. If you drive through mud, the wheel always slings that stuff all...
