  1. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

Both are cool features, but I disabled them. They came back after firmware update, and I disabled them again. The rev matching doesn't really bother me, as I do my own rev matching when I double-clutch and it does nothing. But still it was defeating the purpose of driving a manual. Hill...
  2. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

I have no idea how you can feel the clutch barefoot--my guess is that you don't press it as you are supposed to. If I ever lost my shoes, yeah, I'd probably be able to drive myself home, but it'd be extremely uncomfortable for my left foot. FWIW, you should not drive with the sports/track...
  3. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

You need more practicing. Yes there is a "bite point", but you should never search for it. It should be one continuous motion. Again: 1. add gas 2. as you started adding gas start releasing the clutch. So it's one continuous motion, where the left foot lags behind the right foot. There...
  4. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

On any modern car, if you slowly disengage the clutch, you can start going without stalling. My old mustang from 2007 had the same thing. I'm not sure if it rev's it up, or just happens naturally. And it's not a good idea to rely on this behavior. You need to give it gas as you're lifting...
  5. How often do you have passengers in the backseat?

The backseats are nice to have. 3 can fit pretty comfortably. When you have 4, the driver loses leg room, which could be problematic, but I've gone on several road trips and managed.
  6. Pumping Gas Problems

I had that on my old Mustang. It's not the car, it's the pump most likely. Flip the nozzle upside-down and it works fine.
  7. I want my s550 back.

If it's sending data to your insurance company--disable that. Lots of threads going over what to disable. I suspect you did not get all your over the air updates, because lane keeping assist has really improved since what was there initially. I use it regularly without any issues.
  8. Drag Mode

I personally like the acceleration that you get. But on a manual transmission, if you release your foot off the gas pedal abruptly, it jerks you back, unlike the regular drive mode. Plus in TX where I now live the roads are super slick, and unless it's early in the morning or during cold...
  9. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

why aren't you doing your own teeth cleaning (every 6 months)?
  10. 3rd gear lockout

I remember on my old '07 Mustang it was sometimes difficult to go into 3rd gear. It was a "safety" feature (that I learned about early on) and only for the 3rd gear: when you over-rev your engine, it physically prevented you to go into it. This dumb feature is something I never understood...
  11. Brake pedal

I drive stick. I have switched over to Vans (the checkered ones basically). I cannot wear boots, dance shoes, or anything that feels different. Well, technically I can, but it will feel foreign. I have never had issues with my foot slipping off pedals, so it must be your shoes, as others...
  12. Annoying noise from rear side

My bad, sorry. Check the spare tire, if it's loose--it can also make that noise. I'm out of ideas.
  13. Driver door rattle

When I had speaker rattle on certain frequencies on my old Mustang, the fix was to remove the speaker cover and add foam insulation to the part that covered the speaker. I think the best thing to do is to blast the same exact song while removing the door panel, and isolate where it's coming...
  14. Annoying noise from rear side

I had that too. There's a foam adhesive strip between the metal where the back is attached, and plastic that is in the trunk. That adhesive strip is crap, and it comes unglued, and as a result you get metal on foam nasty squeaks. What I did is I re-glued that strip with gorilla glue. I...
  15. Jack recommendation

Hi, fellow Mustang owners. So since I have a garage now, I realized I don't have a proper jack (except what comes with the car). My car is completely stock, no rails installed, etc. The jack points are very weird, I haven't had to change a tire myself. Could you please recommend me 2 things...
  16. Cluster themes - new ones coming from Ford?

My favorite is the default theme still. What I like the most is that it doesn't interfere with the driving, while showing all the necessary information + what gear I have selected. It doesn't detract from the road with side vision. I also like to have the analog and digital speedometer there...
  17. Auto Start/Stop killed by EPA rules deregulation

I think that due to popular demand, there will be a way to permanently disable this "feature" via firmware.
  18. Change USB and Cigarette POWER TIME after ignition is OFF

Now it turns off right away, after the latest software update. I did not see any way to configure it in the settings, unless I'm missing something.
  19. Bad Curb Rash

To prevent this, get different tires, that's my advice. On my old Mustang I used to constantly scrape the curb when parking. Then I got Bridgestone Serenity tires and they "flare" over the rim so that problem was solved. They are great tires in my experience. Now on my current car I have...
  20. FORD: One of the worst

Well, disable the auto-updates. First thing I did! Otherwise it can even theoretically leave your car stranded after an unsuccessful update.
