What are people’s experiences in the amount of time it takes from the scheduled production date to built? Do parts problems primarily affect scheduling for production therefore delaying when production starts? Or can problems also affect cars on the line during production?
Update: I just got an email from Ford with my VIN and scheduled production date: 16 September 2024 for my 2024 Mustang GT Premium, Rapid Red, Perf Pkg, Act Exh, 401A, Carmine Red Interior. My order went to Ford on 19 June 2024 from a fairly large dealer in Los Angeles, CA area. We shall see how...
How does that work? Ford cancels my order and I have to go through the whole process with my dealer to order a 2025? They do not have Rapid Red in 2025, instead Molten Magenta. Same configuration around $3,000 more.
I placed an order for a 2024 Mustang GT Premium which has not been scheduled yet. Based on this posting above, does exhausted availability mean no more will be produced? Doesn't make sense since 2025s will need the same engine. This is my first Mustang and first custom order, so be gentle.
