  1. Couple of new EcoBoost S650 Mustang photos [from Texas State Fair]

This is where I totally disagree with what people are saying. I think you totally lose the "coke bottle" shape and drastically lose the 3D quality of the overall design, especially at the shoulders. The S550 is way more sculpted and detailed with it's lines where the S650 is more rounded and...
  2. Couple of new EcoBoost S650 Mustang photos [from Texas State Fair]

Exactly what I've been waiting to see...conpared with the S550, I think it really misses losing all of those sharp lines and doesn't have the same accentuation of the front/rear "dhoulders and hips". Not a fan of how flat the rear deck sits either, though it should definitely work better for...
  3. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

...you ever think that the S550 exploratory stages, oh I dunno, helped to pen things like the Explorer's lines lol? Work and ideas were going on before things officially began...lots of competition and thoughts/ideas being dreamed-up and presented before Ford rolled with Kuric and got things...
  4. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

Fun fact...S550 and S650 were co-developed/sketched simultaneously lol. I think I know what you're talking about...it was a sketchboard/designboard conceptual picture and possibly only found in the background of a photo/video anymore.
  5. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

S550 design and planning officially began in late 2008/2009 and the production design was finalized in 2011. Ummm, Oppolock's avatar is one of the earliest front end sketches from the very beginning back in 2008...you guys are not exactly impressing anybody with what you know lol, but thanks for...
  6. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

Dude...the S650 has the exact same dimensions as the S550. The hips aren't any bigger lol...the only real change is a one inch lower beltline, more plastic out back with less metal, and a sloping hood/wedge effect done right versus the slapdash shoehorn attempt at that with the S550 refresh and...
  7. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

Buddy, the Fusion and all the other Ford products were designed after the Mustang was locked-in...Ford screwed up and due to delays and awkward timing, the Fusion beat the Mustang to the market lol. This is a story told many a time; S550 was penned first and late to the party with the family...
  8. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

Nah...they can try all they want, but they've just fallen for the "spider eyes are cool" trend and are using heritage as a talking point on top of that. S550, yes, S650 NO...it's Ford's current family look primarily and the only nod to the original car is just that there's three of something...
  9. Video: Dark Horse S650 shown to assembly workers w/ headlights animation, cold start and revving sounds

This is what kills me...I love LED headlights for the functionality/what you can do with them, that startup animation is way too perfect, but I just hate the "3+3" scheme that Ford and everybody else is using. Do something with 3 as a theme for the running/accent lights to tie-in with the...
  10. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

It's confirmed lol. The interior is dominated by a tablet for a reason, and the operating system/graphics are run by Unreal Engine lmfao...that's the top gaming design platform and a total marketing ploy directed towards Zoomers and younger Millenials. Ford's been quoted about all of this/even...
  11. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

100% agreed; S550/S650 really is like the SN95/New Edge cars. Same thing with all the black/gray plastic; I can't stand it and all of the empty space on these cars. It's definitely all a microtrend that should reverse itself eventually. The S650 is a nice looking car, but it screams "Gen Z kid...
  12. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

Nah...fix't lol. Those pics of yours are not at the same angle/perspective...neither are these, but look at how much more striking the S550 just became lol. I can find shots of the S550 that make it look heaps better; doesn't take much. I miss A LOT of those character lines and think we all need...
  13. S650 Shelby GT500 Mustang renderings by drive.com

I like that a lot...it actually fits the angles and shape of the car perfectly and works as an updated foil to the S550 GT500.
  14. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

The GT350 is a gorgeous car...but yup, I didn't like it lol. True story...the 15-17 front is a shark, the GT350 is a cobra/snake, the 18+ is Darth Vader's helmet lol. I thought Ford did a much better job at doing what they did to the GT350 though than what they did to the 18+; same as the GT500...
  15. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

100% noted and agreed. The Original S550 design was meant to mirror the "linear" design and stance of the 1964/1965 Mustang, which is where that front end makes sense. Ford totally dropped the retro-modern stance with the 18+ redesign in favor of trying to go for something more modern and edgy...
  16. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

The S650 looks like what the 18+ refresh should have been...absolutely can't stand the 18+ front/headlights. Ford had the goal of lowering the front and walking back the more classic gen 1 "straight line" look/stance for more of a wedge shape and just sort of tacked/hacked at the front hood and...
  17. Base Model/Standard Interior

...why? Looks like an EV/CUV interior desig element, not muscle car.
  18. ⚠️ LEAKED S650 Mustang Images & Rumored Specs!! [New Shots & Engine Image Added]
