  1. Active exhaust compared to standard on 5.0?

I test drove a dozen Mustangs before I bought my 24. For overall package the active exhaust is the only way to go. For normal driving I keep the exhuast in track mode because it sounds great. But for freeway driving I put it in quiet to eliminate the drone and excess noise. I also use quiet for...
  2. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

Interesting. It looks like skoda only puts it on their sporty trims, but they do have it and it does work by holding the brake and then gas together. But the regular ones dont get it, even with the DSG.
  3. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

My GTI with the DSG had the same thing. It was a simple no-nonsense launch control and it worked great!
  4. My Car Feels Slow...

Yeah my last car was a model 3 performance. It is basically impossible to make a Mustang GT launch as hard as that car did. But launch speed has nothing to do with why I bought my car. I wanted something that would be fun to drive at any speed and not a one-trick pony.
  5. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

I used to wear vivo barefoot shoes back when they still used Kevlar for the soles. Those were the best driving shoes I’ve ever owned. Vans have practically rock hard soles and I’ve never found them to be good for pedal feel.
  6. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

I would put money on this being the cause. I have a 6 speed 2024 and the car doesn’t release the autohold brake well. Bill start assist hasn’t been a huge problem, but the auto hold that engages the brakes every time you stop makes the “auto throttle” really struggle. The fix is to either give...
  7. Do I have the "Brembo" brakes??

I got the mini spare with my GT and it was only about $400. I think currently they’re about $650 or so. That said the last thing I’d want to do is haul around a spare tire designed for a brake system my car doesn’t have. That is unless it can fit in the spare tire compartment under the trunk. If...
  8. How often do you have passengers in the backseat?

I insisted on the 401 package so i coudl set the memory position to cover when my kids are in the back seat. Wish both sides had the memory setting.
  9. How often do you have passengers in the backseat?

Daily. It’s why I bought the convertible. It has about an extra inch of headroom when closed and it’s a non issue when the top is down. My kids love it though I wouldn’t put anyone with particularly long legs back there.
  10. Pros and Cons of a convertible

Molto bene! That worked and I can do that until I have it fixed properly.
  11. Pros and Cons of a convertible

My last car was a 22 Model 3 Performance. Autopilot would actually center in the lane and by the time I sold the car it was a really solid system. my 24 GT has lane assist but it seems to mostly wait until I touch a line then hugs the damned line and makes recentering way harder than it should...
  12. Pros and Cons of a convertible

My only issue after a year with mine is that the passenger side quarter window now doesn’t close all the way. I have a service appointment to get it fixed next week. Other than that, its been an entirely great experience.
  13. One Year Update - 19,340 Miles - It’s Still Great!

On one hand 26 mpg is way better than the 16.2 I’ve overaged over the last 9k miles. On the other, that sounds like pure freeway driving which isn’t nearly as fun as twisty roads with constant elevation changes. It’s been a great 9k miles for sure.
  14. How do you close your trunk? Without a handle . . .

I close mine via the spoiler, but it’s a decklid spoiler. I definitely wouldn’t if it were a wing type like the performance package comes with.
  15. Ceramic Coating - New Mustang GT

Nice! The paint isn’t too bad on my Mustang. My worst car was my 16 GTI Autobahn. I did about 300 touch ups for chips before I sold it after 5 years. My Model 3 only had about 10 chips in 4 years. My Mustang is up to about 25 after a year. Luck of the draw I suppose.
  16. Ceramic Coating - New Mustang GT

Neat. I just hand wash monthly and hand wax every 4-6 months. Good opportunity to stay aware of anything going on with the paint, panels, and glass in the car. How much did you end up paying to have your paint corrected the coating applied to your car?
  17. Don't get hit by a turkey doing 70mph!

If you pulled out A whole chunk of glass with the mirror then it was definitely already damaged. Probably a rock chip around the mirror on the exterior of the windshield. I’ve heard of the mount not being adhered properly but never just ripping out a chunk of tempered glass. Definitely a prime...
  18. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

I negotiated for 7 free full synthetic oil changes when I bought mine. So I should be good for about 40k miles before I would even consider doing it myself. They seem to a very good job with it so I don’t mind. I’ve definitely been to dealerships that I would never trust with my car. But...
  19. How's your splitter holding up

How dare they not build the approach with cars from cars 60 years in future in mind.
  20. How's your splitter holding up

I drive my GTCS every single day and the splitter is flawless. Just don’t hit shit and the splitter will be fine. Don’t pull all the way up to curbs and get a good sense of how long the hood is. It literally comes down to not hitting things and the splitter will last as long as anything else...
