Yeah it’s not cheap! I’m considering the third day as well, but I try to track the car every chance I get and want to be better at it. Compared to $225 for a track night with SCCA it’s a lot, but it’s a very different experience.
In my case, a day full of lead follow instruction that culminated in an open lapping session. Solidifying what you learned the day prior can really help with retention, and that’s very valuable, if you care about improving your abilities in the car. If you don’t really intend to track the car...
It was amazing! The school runs Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires instead of the trofeo RS's, so the car did great in the rain. Other than needing to be gentler and slower with your inputs it wasn't much different.
Hi guys, this footage is from back in July 2024. I attended the Dark Horse track attack two day school at Charlotte Motor Speedway put on by the awesome team at the Ford Performance Racing school. It was an absolute blast, and I highly recommend it.
The instructors were really amazing. I have...
The rating system is definitely inaccurate. Regular driving will absolutely decimate the Trofeos - whether you’re driving on a street or track alignment - and they're not going to last more than 4 track days IMO.
Yeah, the Trofeos really do disappear that quickly if you're dailying them. I got a square setup of some 19x10 Apex wheels with 285/45/19 Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02's for daily driving. I kept the Trofeo RS's on the stock handling package wheels, and have those stored in my garage -...
This is the best I could do. Took the wheel off of the front driver's side, and this is what I found at the top of the strut. I have no idea what I'm looking at, but I don't really have the skills to take apart a shock and make adjustments. I'm not seeing how an amateur HPDE guy can adjust...
Do you have any more detail on that? Did someone at Ford tell you? I ask because I recently took my DH with the track handling package to my race alignment guy to prep it for an autocross event, and the maximum camber he could get out of the front was I believe 1.7 on the left, 1.5 on the right...
Hey y’all,
Does anyone have any confirmed fitment for a square track tire setup? Eventually want to replace my Trofeo RS’s with something more street friendly when I destroy them, then buy a separate wheel setup for possibly 305 section tires at all four corners to rotate at track days. Anyone...
