have always run dedicated snow tires on anything with a performance summer tire, when i had them, but decided with mustang id just park it and get an awd winter beater with some Aklimate all weather, so far with the 12-14" of snow we had in the last 2 days they have been good
I went PP 301a with active exhaust, will never track is but torsen, the oil cooler, Brakes and wider tires were wants. with the empolyee pricing it was pretty much the same as a non PP back in September also with 301a and active exhaust
MSRP was 67k paid 60k (CAD)
I had GM replace my set on my 2021 ct5v, I bought it in the spring and it was delivered to the lot previous fall, sidewalls looked almost like tiny cracks from dry rot, they said its from test drives and flexing in the cold, my 2025 ct5v they wouldnt let me pickup in the cold without snow tires...
the poblem you will have is pretty much every summer only compound is not recomended to drive on below 7C (45f) , not just because of traction but the hard rubber and the cracking..the cracking doesnt care if you drive conservatively, flexing soft compound when they in freezing temps will...
Did you read the link you posted and referred too?
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/michelin-pilot-sport-4s
0C is freezing....
+7 C the compound will get harder, the closer to 0 you get the more like a hockey pucky the tires become, the ps4s also have no siping needed for snow and ice.
parked or...
the PS4S is summer only tire, the PS4 AS is the all season vaiant.
perhaps as the other guy mentioned you thought the PS4S mean 4 season? or was the all season?
That one is matte/satin they also have carbon variations but I wanted the flat to match the rtr spoiler, i imagine itll be a little less matte once i put some 303 on there and wipe off the mold release
thats what I am assuming as well, I am running the PS4 AS (all season) so i can run them into november and early in the year come march/april if the salt is gone. In theory i can drive those in the snow but a 305 on ontario roads in an AS would suck, the PS 4s (isnt 4 season) is summer only...
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is a summer tire and should not be driven when the temperature is
below 40°F (7°C), as the rubber compound hardens, drastically reducing traction and increasing the risk of cracking. Driving below this temperature, especially in cold, wet, or icy conditions, is...
if you commute, or drive in cold weather and dont need a snow, then look at the PS4 AS (all season) the PS4 summer isnt reccomended to drive on under 7 C, the rubber isnt meant to flex when cold and can crack prematurly.
theyll also last 2-3 times as long, and in a 305 still have plenty of...
add a few PSI to the tires since theyll drops a few when it gets cold, fuel stabilizer, and if you want amazon sells some curved mini ramps to help with flat spots
personally i wouldnt drive it just to start it, just adds moisture to the fuel and oil, exhaust etc.
these are the ones i got off...
ethanol turns into green gunk as it sits, and brings in extra moisture, stabil works fine and super cheap, takes 80% of a bittle to a full tank of fuel, if you can get ethanol free your probbaly ok for the winter but everything here is e10
I really want to do mine but ill never get it to a track, i drive 5-10km a day for work all in town, so never anywhere I could use the power, and with the silly "stunt driving" laws here would just very easy to get with that kind of power lol.
but a friend once told me its more fun to drive a...
just helps reduce wheel hop, i think if you want more effect you need to do the bushing lockouts too but also didnt want to make things so stiff it was umcomfortable so ill try these out next summer, ill probably never see a track
steeda put out a good video for the kits
