How did this go? About to wrestle with mine to install mirror taps for my Uniden. I have a panel puller, but it's metal and pretty thick, not a nice plastic shim to slide in. I'll have to find something and be careful...
How hard is it to get to the filter alone? The reason I ask is that I use a vacuum extractor for my oil changes. I dip a long tube through the dipstick or oil port itself, and it can handle nice high temps as well, so you get the advantage of heat-happy viscosity.
Once extracted (two loads...
This is what happened to the 2021 Camaro 2SS Convertible I bought back in March, though with only 10,000 miles. Something was wrong with the PCV system, which we discovered only after tech mind-numbingly replaced all the seals and gaskets when oil was seeping out of any convenient escape...
Peculiar. I've always lubed the filter gasket, and put the Turkish Headlock on it with my strap wrench. Always assumed the oil gums up a bit, and the seal is essentially permanent. Have never heard of one coming loose due to NVH in 20 years of collective forum lore.
"Kids today, don't even oil...
Sounds like a stealership. Full synthetic is way to go, early and often as other posters mention, with a good filter besides. I have used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum for years, and has never let me down once. I used Royal Purple for a while, and realized they're Nikes: $100 for the shoes, $100...
On suspension, I would have thought just the sway bars without any upgraded bushings would keep things under control. 1.5 inch drop front, 1.75 back or so, and with those 305s? Any reason to think that's not a solid set up? We digress, but that's what forums are for lol.
Hi there! So I'm asking pretty much the same question as this guy, but for a Stage 1 Whipple rather than Stage 2. I only got my S650 last week, but with any of my cars, I like to have a plan to work towards. I would only track the car once or twice a year; most of my driving is going apeshit...
Has anyone tried the Steeda Stop the Hop Street kit? If so, worth it? I want to get this and swaybars to go with my Pedders coilovers to lower and stiffen my suspension.
Ok, this is what I've been up to. I ordered the Roush intake kit from Roush directly, and was surprised to see that it was just new lids for the existing air boxes, and some big fat filters. I questioned why I purchased these for the price I paid, but the new filters are pretty beefy. It may...
I appreciate the suggestion; I actually have already ordered an MGW X-Spec. I had the privilege of trying out an MGW back on another buddy's Boss 302 back in the day, and like you say, these things fuse to the transmission and chassis and eliminate loads of slop, in addition to an additional...
