I remember my father had a Ford Pinto, that had the most annoying buzzer that would go off if you didn't have your seat belt on, I'm okay with the chimes.
I own a 2018 S550, because it was new model I bought an extended warranty and ESP, it only has 15.9 K miles on it but I haven't had any issues so it hasn't been needed. That said I plan on getting one for my 2024 S650.
To answer you question I would buy my S650 again and the only change would...
Congrats! It's a blast to drive.
I haven't read any official response form Ford on the holes, do you have a link. My dealer said he would call if there was any response and so far nothing.
I disabled the system with the button on the steering wheel. I need see if I can get the warnings and nudges without the lane keeping system. My 2023 F 150 has the same thing but I'm able to turn off the auto steering and still get lane warning in case I wander off.
I had the same thought about the PPF on the whole car, I had set aside some cash but after my puppy ate some medicine causing an expensive emergency vet visit I had to do the track pack. The only seems are on the A pillars, they said if those bother me enough they could remove them. The rockers...
I tried all the combos on my trip today, I think it's the lane assisst, I turned that off and it was a much more comfortable ride, I set 80 on the cruise control and just went. I noticed that if I floored it at 80 in the normal mode I had better acceleration then I did in the sport mode.
Those were installed.
Today I put several hundred miles on the car and I think it was the lane keeping system, it always seem to be moving from one side of the lane to the other, I turned it off and it seemed to get much better. It was a pleasure to drive this car on the interstate, this...
I had the opportunity to own a 72 Cadillac but I thought it was too big to drive to college, I regret that decision. That had crazy light power steering and although it isn't close it reminded me of that.
just under 700 miles, today I will make a 450 mile round trip to see my new grandson and...
Both actually, my biggest "complaint" about the S650 is the steering and how light it feels, my S550 feels nice and stiff and it's as if you can feel the road. ALso, the front feels as though it's not on the ground and I have to physically move the whee to keep it in the lane.
I have had a chance to drive a few hundred miles in my S650 over the last couple of days and I noticed that at highway speeds the front end seems to "float" and I'm constantly having to correct it, I took my S550 out under the same conditions and it stays put, no floating and very stable. I...
I had the front stripes removed while having a track pack Xpel PPF installed, I'm looking to replace those and the ones I saw at for were $1300.00 I found this set online for $290.00. Would this be a match to the factory installed set? Any othe advice is welcome as I have never dealt with...
That was an option but the stripes were from the factory and I couldn't afford a full wrap that would have caused a difference in the appearance of the stripes that were covered vs the ones that weren't.
They removed the stripe in order to put one piece of PPF on the hood, they did the entire front, the mirrors, A pillars and the back part of the trunk above the lock. They used Xpel film and Xpel ceramic on the entire body and windows. I'm deciding what to do about replacing the stripes, I...
