It certainly looks best paired with darker colors. Blue Ember was made for it. Vapor would look cool too. White may be a bridge too far for this particular look.
To each their own. And I'm not trying to sound elitist. But have you ever driven a GT 500? If not, trust me it leaves nothing to be desired. The DCT is not a standard auto trans. Think of it as an automated manual. Full disclosure every prior Mustang I've owned had manual transmissions.
This is all speculation of course. But, don't expect Ford to follow the same script with this generation. 4 levels of performance is enough IMO. Not to mention the performance packages. The S550 had what? 5 levels plus the various performance packages. Sadly once you go Shelby you never go...
If the Dark Horse is any indication, it does seem that Ford is now willing to change it up. As a current GT 500 and previous GT 350 owner I hope the relationship continues. If not, I would be perfectly happy owning a Cobra. As a child of the 80's and 90's SVT brings back fond memories.
It's all about demographics. Boomers are beyond the peak of their spending years. Gen X and Millenials are in or approaching their prime spending years. Ford is not wrong for embracing that. IMO Ford is not doing a bad job of balancing past, present, and future.
We have officially jumped the shark. NO, Ford would not intentionally design the Mustsng to resemble the Camaro. I've read more than a few post stating that. Remember, the Camaro was Chevy's response to the Mustang way back in the 60's. Ford went "retro" in 2005 and Chevy followed in 2009. So...
I've always believed Mustangs should evolve like Porche does. Keep the same dominant signature traits and tweak them a bit. Hopefully improve on them. For the most part that's what we have here, an evolution. Those that don't like it hold your opinion until you see it first hand. Photos never...
I did it. It just authorizes Ford to send a one time text message with info on the new Mustang. You can expect it will contain links to the reveal event, Ford website, etc.
I see it as a more upscale design than the wall of hard black plastic we had gotten for generations. The S550 was a step up, this has promise to continue the trend.
A bit of herringbone pattern in the surrounding panel. That's a nice touch. Also, the button seems textured, almost worn. I always like learning the little details of why they chose certain design themes.
