GripTime - I do agree with you about the DH perfection- for me it is- only in the chassis dynamics, the engine, drive train and the Tremec tranny and the exterior look. I can live with the digital interior maybe that will over time become none issue?
After test driving one I am hooked, but...
I think we all feel that the EATC (climate controls) screen layout and button size could be better. I have just looked at friend's old touch screen in his Chrysler and notice that the 4:3 vs 16:9 ratio panel seem better for button sizes and layout. I do hate to be taking my line of vision from...
https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle/mustang/2024/owner-manuals/
on that site use search by model 2024 Mustang and get PDF and download the 550 page manual.
It has all the info.
Here is my preliminary wish list:
1) Analog instrument do not need boot time - this electronic LCD touch dash needs faster boot on start.
2) Add back lighting to the door sills on the DH
3) Update the switch panel that has the volume control and 5 other buttons to better quality switch and add...
The EVERYDAY-DRIVER video they complain about the weight of the Mustang, but forget that it has back row seats unlike the others and larger interior. If interior space is important in a sports car then the Mustang wins.
I say to Ford just skip the GTD lite and make RTR-800hp with 6 speed TREMEC for 85K instead or how about a 4 door V6 Turbo to compete with 2025 ICE Charger?
JUST FYI TO ALL WHO PURCHASED 2024 MUSTANG. Many dealers due to probably labor shortage are not doing the PDI properly. (please see attached) This document in my opinion should be with the car from factory all the way to the owner after purchase to show PDI has been done properly for the vehicle.
I would love to see some of the Hotwheels color combos make it to the 2025 Model year. I am tired of seeing black, white, gray, silver, gunmetal and the possible shades of these on Mustangs. Sports cars should have some fun colors! The Dodge Challenger cars of the past had some cool colors why...
We forget that Doge in 2006 introduced the Challenger Concept to go after the Mustang sales. (Picture from R&T magazine attached). Since that time they made many dollars by using the same old platform until 2023. Maybe in 2015 Ford decided to follow Dodge design approach by not creating totally...
If the Mustang is not as great then why is it #1 global sports car seller? Ford limit Australia to get only ~1K DH cars. They could easily sell 3x times as many down under. The FlatRock outputs on average 4K to 7K cars per month. The foreign brands are lucky if they sell that many cars per year...
Here attached are some 1978 MSRP prices from "Ford Times" magazine page to compare. One must note that quality and design of cars today is way better then those designed an sold in 1978.
I hope it will be better then the 45th anniversary IACCOCA Mustang. Looking back to 2010 it was kind neat design tweak. BTW- I saw one up close at the Larz Anderson Museum here in Boston area.
I just looked inside C&D magazine issue page 41 and they think on the track the DH is better then the Mach 1. (see page cut attached). I test drove a DH and love the car and hope to get one since I always wanted the Tremec in a Mustang. BTW- I also love the fact that some of the engineering...
I think this dealer has location in Florida and has White GT coming to Raynham Mass. Window sticker PDF attached for reference. Maybe you can cancel your current order and get this car?
TO: FORD MUSTANG ENGINEERING TEAM!
Please fix this issue on the 2024 cars. It is silly to let the aftermarket folks make repair kits to cover poor engineering vehicle platform work to save a dime per vehicle.
Is this quality job 2??
Here is picture of vapor blue on a fall day. I call this the hospital clothing color that is more gray then blue and hard to see in the dark. Someday the marketing minions at ford will give us some nice pastel colors for the DH model like the Sweeney's Brittany Blue .
9secondco and Mustang1987 you guys are making some good points, but forgetting to look at the numbers of the Charger and Challenger cars over the last 20 years on the old platform. From year to year these cars did not get new platforms and large R&D from one model year to the next, but they kept...
I say forget the re-sale value and enjoy the car. As for GT vs DH if you love manual tranny the DH is the way to go. For me after test driving the DH the tranny is fantastic and worth it not just on track, but also during daily driving. BTW- In my neck of the woods I also get lower insurance...
I am confused on DH pricing. It was my understanding that DH can't be discounted on A/Z and X plan pricing. I see it listed at Bill Brown Ford in Michigan. Must be an error!
