On todays engines you need to be careful using oil additives. While they may have helpful additives, many will change the viscosity of the oil and it will have a harder time going through the much smaller journals and oil paths. Also creating poor fuel mileage.

My guess with complete ignorance...... 3000 dealers. Conservative estimate to fill lots and retail: avg 6 cars per dealer x 3000 = 18000 retail orders 2100 18000 + 2100 = 20100 cars. That can be built at say 350 cars a day. We should see stock and all customer vehicles sans parts shortages...

Like any process, they have identified areas where they get warranty claims and minimize it by adding protection. Could be from assembly, transportation, or the dealer. It is about reducing claims and costs.
