Sort of an update, per the ford pass app, for the first time in a week and a half, the car had been driven/moved from within the shop. They put gas in the car and drove it about 40 miles and then parked it outside where the drop off/pick up area is. No phone call yet but from what it seems, i...
yeah mine had this, when i took it in for the 3rd time for a dash rattle, i had them look at the door as well. there were 2 screws loose on the back of the handle that they tightened down. the rattle went away for a while but its coming back so i may pull the panel off myself and Loctite them.
Update #2
I decided to call as it's been 11 days since I've heard anything, for an update of course. All I got was that the dash is essentially fully out of the car, and they still haven't located the source of the problem. Which working in an automotive plant and tearing a lot of cars that...
Last update was last Monday. They said they think there is something loose or in the Heat Box in the dash. So, they said the dash has to come out to narrow down what it could be. Really hope they take their time and tighten everything up correctly when it goes back in to avoid more/new rattles...
That must be in the salesman 101 learning course because almost all sale people want to say that as a scare tactic but I don't understand why. I honestly feel like a lot of it comes from ignorance, they heard it on the internet or from a friend of a friend that had warranty denied and tried...
no. no its not. warranty cannot be void due to a modification unless they can prove the said modification caused the said problem. Warranty is through ford, not the state your in so do the exhaust, dont listen to the salesman.
I'm aware, I have a 301A so good speakers as well. Just hit 7100 miles on the dash and have enjoyed the car a lot. This rattle it's in for and has been 5 times now, it gets increasingly louder with speed. It used to only show when you'd be cruising at 70-80mph but now it starts at 25mph. As much...
Update, they are having me drive my car home to drop me off and having the service manager ride with me so that he can drive it back to the dealer. I have a truck as well so no biggie on transport, I just needed to get home lol
Currently my lamborfeeties as they don't have any loaners, I'm an hour away from home and have been waiting an hour for them to take me home...
Oh and I work 3rd shift, finished a 12hr shift before I drove the hour here, just waiting. At least they have nice seating outside whilst I wait 😅
It's done been dropped off, manager and tech both said that it won't matter as the mods aren't a direct cause of the dash rattle since it's been that way since shortly after I got the car.
So I have taken my GT in 5 times now for dash rattles, and to my surprise, they still can't resolve them. So today I decided to take the car to the states most highly recommended (also the dealer I ordered the car through) dealership because their service center is usually fantastic. Now I live...
Do we know if the Whipple Supercharged cars, with the tune provided from Whipple, removes the governor of 156mph? would think it would be silly if they didn't as the Whipple'd car would hit the governor rather quickly.
I need to! I used some spray Jay Leno ceramic coating a few weeks back, and unfortunately that did good for about 3 washes. About time to pay a bigger buck and get a quality coating done!
I gotcha, I do feel like the springs allowed me to get a true feel of the amount of suspension flex as well as to know a better feeling of how much speed I can take hard corners at. Less body roll=more feel for cornering, to me at least.
I'm fortunate that it's small town cops/deputies and I know a lot of them. Still a risk I know, and fortunately that night I didn't get got lol. I've learned some wisdom from that night at 19yrs old to now. I definitely know what to and not to say nowadays!
