  1. 2024 Mustang sales comment

Noticed some negative feelings that Mustang had it's worst sales year of it's existence. That comes with some points that need consideration. Yes, the price is a big factor. Never been a higher priced Mustang. Ford has taken it out of the entry level particularly for younger guys and gals. When...
  2. How many of you........

Fire it up and reach for the pony to set exhaust to track ?
  3. 2024 Poorest selling Mustang

Motor Week gave the 2024 Mustang best driving car of the year and I agree. 9,999 people don't care about a performance car. They will never spend their money on such. Us 1% know what we like. Most of my friends either ignore I drive a Mustang at my age or give me some grief. I chuckle because...
  4. 6 months in-thoughts

As a long time Mustang owner, and I mean long time, some thoughts my 2024 GT premium. I've had 65 fastbacks, 70Boss 302, fox bodies, 2003 Eliminator, 2010 Shelby GT 500, 2017 Roush. Went without a while and after the loss of my beloved dog, decided I wanted back in. Being older and...
  5. Tip for cleaning wheels between washes

I use a product called Tub O towels. They are treated for many uses and I use them for cleaning my aluminum wheels.
  6. California Ford Dealer offering deal on Dark Horse

95,705 includes 20,000 dealer add-ons. What a bargain ! 500 HP for that price ? Can someone say, buy a Shelby GT 500 for less.
  7. Looking to move from BMW M340 to Mustang GT...looking for comments

You described the Mustang well when you said it had soul. Not as much soul as the beloved dog I lost recently, he had soul. To fill the void somewhat I went out and bought a 2024 GT premium automatic. At 79 and decent health I do feel younger, have more hair, and sneer at the kid driving the...
  8. Older guy with manual

I'm older than you. I gave up my 2010 Shelby 6 speed for a 2024 GT automatic. You'll get all sorts of answers. I've never regretted the decision. Easier to drive, very responsive, never having to throw it out of gear, etc. but you're the one driving it.
  9. 7 Mustang models in rear window

How many have not seen the 7 Mustang models depicted in the bottom of the rear window ? Continue to find neat things.
  10. Ownership update

    Thanks.
  11. Ownership update

Several hundred miles now and gotten used to its performance and features. I've owned a Terminator, 2017 Roush, and a 2010 750 HP Shelby. I reached the stage (age) that a manual transmission was fun but getting less practical. Jockeying into a tight garage was losing its appeal. I looked for an...
  12. Air blowing that seems behind my head

I've been all over the A/C and fan settings and can't find what sounds like air blowing from the back seat. It's a constant blowing as if there were backseat controls like in some vehicles. I took my wife along and she heard it also. Anyone else ?
  13. ACTIVE EXHAUST QUESTION S650/S550

Not a stupid question. My first impression is: Why that you paid almost 1000K for the active exhaust would you want anything but it's sound ? I like the fact that I can select between sounds and that it sounds so good. Do you not like the factory sound ?
  14. Who do you trust changing tires?

Insist whoever to take them off by hand, carefully install the tire, and replace them with torque wrench. Impact wrenches are for NASCAR. Too many businesses around for them to lose your business. Found out long ago Ford lug nuts have no longevity for repeated removal.
  15. How many are regretting

Me too. Had many Mustangs in my life and my 2024 is the best for many reasons. Relax and enjoy it.
  16. Commend Ford on wheel locking lug nuts

Would like to thank Ford for putting the wheel locking lug nuts in the glove box for the option of using them and not putting them on from the factory. Personally I dislike them and now I don't have to purchase 4 lug nuts and switch them out.
