LOL that 9sec is a goon. I ran 12.4 on a hot summer night so Evan Smith or someone getting an 11.9 in neg DA at E-town is entirely possible.
I OWNED BOTH CARS and the Z06 was a tick quicker. If you rode in both you thought the Cobra was because of the low end TQ but the mid and upper HP pull...
I had an 03 Cobra and an 04 Z06. The Z06 was quicker stock for stock.
03 Cobra ran 12.81 and put down 381 RWHP weight-?
04 Z06 ran 12.44 and put down 363 RWHP weight 3055
It’s sad the 2024 DH is quicker than cars 20+ years older. Sure A lot of things are better in every way EXCEPT 1/4mi...
BS! There was never an 03-04 Cobra running 10s with JUST a ported blower and IRS bushings. I owned and worked at a Ford dealer back then. Plenty ran 10s with a laundry list of mods attached to them.
What is a “ward salad”?
So we are making excuses why it is a turd on the drag strip now?
Show me where these adjustments made a 6M DH go 11s- post the video. I guess a 6M DH needs a Whipple now to beat an A10 GT and other cars of the like.
Dude put the crack pipe down and quit apologizing like...
It did show real world data that an M6 DH is a toad on the drag strip. Heck my 2024 LT1 that I bought used for half of what a DH cost would DESTROY that M6 DH on the strip.
What I was getting at is for the money it is a huge disappointment from Ford. The outgoing Mach1 was a better performance...
How embarrassing. I’m surprised Ford put this turd out and it runs what it runs for the money. I’m surprised Steeda would post videos out there like these honestly- a slow car and a guy who can’t drive a stick.
It *CAN
FYI here is my 455hp 2024 Camaro off the showroom floor that trapped 117 on the crappy stock Goodyear 245’s In 1600 DA. As with anything YMMV.
Why yes about 25 years ago when I did my first SN “German Shepherd” was taken and I’ve kept all logins consistent. It always amazes me of the millions of misspelled and abbreviated SN’s everyone picks mine.
It’s much worse than you explained- factor 10spd transmissions vs 3 or 4 speeds.
Watched a 25k mile bone stock 69 390hp 427 Vette on a chassis dyno- yep 302 rwhp.
Auto 426 Hemi check 318 rwhp.
The words Subaru and reliability never went together after the early 2000’s. The head gasket bearing issues have really been a black eye- FYI I worked at a Subaru dealer for a time.
As far as reliability a Mustang is far and away a better car- Yes worked for a Ford dealer as well.
