As the title states - do we think Ford is going to make an "affordable" supercharged Mustang in the 80-100k range like a GT500 or new gen Cobra? Not an astronomically priced GTD. Considering trading in my GT for a Hellcat, but preferably I'd wait and save up some more coin for a GT500/Cobra if...
Tires make all the difference. I used to drive my '17 Challenger Scat Pack in the Winter with all-seasons on it and I'd add 90lb of weight plates to the trunk. I got around absolutely fine in 6 inches or less of snow.
Tried driving my GT with Summer tires in the snow in January and it was...
Like others said it isn't a special car like a Dark Horse or Mach 1. 10-12k seems to be ballpark. I am looking at trading my 24 GT in for a Hellcat Redeye and for the trade in I was losing 9k on the GT.
The guy's username is Trill Bro and you all are surprised he's condoning unsafe street racing? Sounds exactly like the Instagram handle of a Great Value brand street racer.
So much is wrong with this post. You're obviously not a gun guy, so let me set you straight for a few.
First off most branches of the US have M4s and M16s with KAC or P&S quad rails on them, which are aluminum. They have rail covers that mostly serve to protect your hand from the cheese...
I planned on getting a DH then drove both. With A/Z plan my GT was about $15k less than the Dark Horse I was going to get.
In terms of speed I felt no difference at all. The DH is 500hp, my GT is 486hp, but the Dark Horse is an extra 150lb over the GT. You can't feel the speed difference at...
I've owned a Challenger and Charger Scat Pack, and now a S650 GT with PP1. Anyone saying a Challenger handles better than a 2018+ S550 GT is full of it. The Challenger definitely handles better than anyone gives it credit for, but the Charger handled even better and both are a big step down...
I got a GT Premium, but was this close |...| to getting a DH Premium. I only went with the GT because I got A plan and after test driving didn't find the DH to feel faster which is expected with the HP difference only being 14hp.
But the one I was going to get was a DH Premium and didn't have...
I only spent a week in an S550, but between the S650 (GT, Dark Horse) and S550 (GT), here are my thoughts:
S550 GT Premium vs. S650 GT Premium (see car in signature)
Interior is nicer on the S650
A10 trans is tuned way, way better on the S650
S650 feels faster
A/V exhaust on the S650 is quite...
An entire second faster is a big enough difference. A Scat Pack with the A8 transmission will lay down 3.9s 0-60, and I've seen them do 11.8s stock in the 1/4 mile. The 8 speed ZF trans they use is one of the best transmissions there is.
I had a 2017 Challenger Scat Pack. The 392 definitely pulls harder down low, but at higher speeds my 24 GT pulls harder than the 392 and honestly feels quite a bit faster. But it weighs like 400lb less and has more hp.
I read something where they were testing HP changes with the GT by adding different gas, changing things, etc.
They said removing the carbon traps added an extra 4hp bringing the GT to 490hp.
I was 100% sold on a Dark Horse then got to test drive one and a GT back to back and realized I was paying an extra 13k or whatever (I got A/Z plan on GT) for just better handling.
Like you said OP the power difference between 486hp and 500hp can't be felt at all, especially since the GT is...
I was also 100% intent on getting a DH with the A10. I didn't think the dealer would let me drive the one I found on the lot for MSRP, but they did. After I asked to drive a GT and could tell no difference in terms of speed. It's a daily driver for me so I didn't need the handling prowess of...
Mine updated to the latest version today and it didn't even notify me (or if it did I didn't notice). Noticed my car was acting slightly different today and checked the gauge cluster and I had the new cluster, then checked and saw I was on the latest update.
Honestly it helped a lot with a...
I think it's just the weight on a regular DH, but the HP might add to the effect like you say. The DH is like an extra 150lb heavier or so than a GT. With the weight difference it pretty much negates the 14hp advantage of the DH (vs. Active valve GT) as the GT has a very minor advantage in...
I pay $225/mo for my GT in Michigan. When I quoted a Dark Horse it was $355/mo.
I got quoted for a Charger Scat Pack widebody as well and that was $409/mo due to the crazy theft rates.
I got my Challenger Scat Pack to 134mph before I backed off. It was still pulling really hard too. Top speed on those per Dodge is 182mph, and the Chargers are actually slightly faster at 186mph for the top speed.
I'd imagine a 24 GT without the governor can probably get near 190mph. It...
That was my issue. The GT350 is one of my favorite Mustangs ever. When I got my GT I had the opportunity to buy a used GT350 with 3k miles for 64k. I really wanted it, but I can only afford to have one vehicle and wasn't sure I'd want a 350 as my daily.
