Sometimes these threads are so tiring.
No one knows absolutely anything about this car except it's going to be a gt500 or equivalent, and you wrote a 2,000 word essay complaining about it already.
Rumors about a year ago stated the the next gen mustang would be 2030 on a new chassis. But that's five years away so a pretty long time.
That's why I go ahead and get the first model year of a new generation, so it's new for about 5-6 years before a new generation comes out lol
They may be able to knock a little weight off the next generation mustang, but the c8 weighs 3600lbs and is made of aluminum and carbon fiber and the base car is about $70k. The base mustang has to start in the low $30Ks so it's a bit restricted.
And there are no rear seats in the c8.
I think...
Just watched a video of Jim Farley from two days ago where he was asked about the future of Mustang, and he said Ford wouldn't be Ford without the Mustang and it will always have a V8 as long as they're legally allowed to produce them.
👌🏻
I didn't say the "US consumer alone is determining". I said "mostly". And they are.
Trust me, if Ford were to choose one country to be successful in, it's the US. Period. And if there is one product they want to be successful, it's the f series trucks, which are only big in North America.
Exactly. The US is Fords largest market. The US consumer will mostly dictate what Ford does. Not Sweden lol
And when gas becomes really cheap really soon, US consumers won't see many advantages to EVs. EVs were already flat on sales year to year. Now imagine when gas gets cheap and EV tax...
Yes, we already mentioned EV growth more than halved globally from the previous year which is more than anyone thought possible. And I added in the US that growth is pretty much flat from the previous year.
To show you how much EVs are slowing in the US, in 2023, growth was 50% higher than 2022, but growth in 2024 was only 7.3% higher than the previous year.
Which means EVs were basically flat year to year in the US.
From 50 percent to 20 percent is an incredible drop in growth for what was supposed to be the majority in sales already.
Saturation will happen in the next couple years. Growth will stop, but there will be enough demand to continue investing in both evs and ice.
We live in a Republic. The majority don't decide the laws. The elected representatives do
That's not true. Maybe that's true for you if you have universal healthcare. But not for Americans.
Back to mustangs!
EVs have grown by 60 percent year over year globally then 50, but have slowed last year to 20 percent. And I bet the slow down continues. Especially when gas becomes cheaper 😀
Stick to mustangs/cars, but I don't agree with a sugar tax lol or taxing cigarettes to the point of extinction.
But on items that affect the safety of all people, like insecticides on crops that aren't safe, where people don't know or people don't have a choice to not get, then yes, that...
That's not what that means.
Just means they like him.
They also moved someone that used to be in charge of ice engines to the model e division. Doesn't mean model e is going ice lol
People move departments all the time and there is no big meaning behind it.
