Looking good!!! I got the same tint. Do you mind snapping a few photos from inside at your rearview mirror so I can compare the light refraction at your rear window due to your tint? Daytime and nighttime if possible! Totally appreciate it!
Can people with tinted rear windows take some photos at night through the rearview mirror (similar to mine above) and post them here please. I'm seriously reading mixed things, so I am very confused. I just want to know if the refraction is normal, so I can move on with my life 😂.
This is why I'm looking into a digital rearview mirror, I can't clearly see through my back window now that I got it tinted, see pics below. This is exactly how the image is through my eyes; the images are not altered due to my camera!
I appreciate you for doing this. Yours doesn't look as bad as mine. I'll wait a week or two, then bring it back to the installer of things don't improve by then. Or I'm going to just add a digital rearview mirror with a rear camera. I like the look of having tinted windows so I don't want to...
This idea came to me as I can't deal with the insane refraction lights from my new tint. I figured a work around would be adding a digital rearview mirror, like the Rexing - M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam - Black. I like the idea of having a dash cam, a rearview mirror that I can...
Since we have the same brand and shade %, I would love to see a photo from your rearview mirror (similar to my photos) so I can compare and show the shop.
ok makes sense, I will give it more time. I did have it done at a reputable shop and they will make sure I am happy. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if my photos are normal, or if it's a tint film or installer issue? I'd love to see some photos of rear windows of other S650's that have...
So either no one else has this issue, or everyone has the same issue. I'm either going to try to live with it if it's "normal" or I'm going to have all of the window tints removed and deal with the fact that I just wasted money.
when you're getting a call you can click on OK on the steering wheel to pick it up. It would've been nice if a "phone" pop-up would appear on the dash while you're on the phone, with the option to click OK again on your steering wheel to hang up. I think it's something they can easily add with...
I just did 35% XPEL for all windows except front windshield. Looks amazing but the glare / light refraction is annoying me. Will it eventually go away, or do I have to live with this?
Just tinted 30% ceramic tint today and the glare is bugging me. I'm hoping it will eventually go away? I feel like the film isn't fully tight around the defrost lines (like there is air above and below as you can see in photo) and then when light or sun reflection from car behind me hits it...
