It is that narrow for sure lol. I have been once and we had super nice terrace seats... I am glad we went once but we will never to go Monaco again.
The race we went to was the first time ever the top 10 started in and finished in the same order.... outside of the Perez crash at the start it...
Its not about the weight of the car and the power ratio only. I am sure you know all of this but what I was more getting at is that only so much power can be used on a track and past a certain point its worthless. Even F1 is not putting down 1k HP in turns and even accelerating off of the line...
That is a fun read for sure! I briefly thought about modding my existing car before I sold it. It had a lot of the cooling already done but the suspension was sooooo much setup for drag racing and then to your questions in that thread... there is a reason you do not hear about a lot of TT...
haha yea it for sure kicked the thread off! I stay so damn busy I need to be more clear sometimes.
I meant it in a literal sense of the Mustang platform on a road course. In reality I should have just applied what I know from other cars and asked for advice on particular parts. Kind of stupid...
Hey Benny,
Any chance you can just DM me the part numbers? I can get them cheaper than employee cost. Buddy owns a dealership and ill grab them at direct cost. Ill still post the results either way.
Sorry im cheap. Employee cost is not that great lol.
My man over here cooking with gas now! Agree 100% on the tires. Going 18x11 for track. I did end up deciding to bite the bullet and have a separate set of track rims instead of the balancing act on the 19s.
Yea those freakin Trofeo RS are some MONSTER tires... people might sleep on them some...
Hey I am currently in the middle of a build and I will pay for all of the installation and take videos/pictures if you provide the parts.
The only reason I did not offer to pay for the parts also is I think its going to cost me a pretty penny to have someone go in there and spend hours trying...
This is my daily driver. I plan on using a C7 Grand Sport platform for a full blown tear down race car. I went with this because as a daily I did not want to spend a fortune on the platform and I am already familiar with the Coyote's from a drag racing stand point.
Don't get me wrong I do...
Don't let the financials scare you away. Like I said its already paid for so you could join us without costing any extra money for us. I am in the SouthEast but we rent all over the US. Seriously consider it if you ever want to take it out there and really give it hell. Doug or myself could...
Absolutely man! For sure different strokes for different folks. I should apologize to this thread... when I say track days I do not mean HPDE with a instructor in the car with me. We rent the entire track out for the day and I would just be using this Mustang to go out there and have some fun...
The ECU for the Dark Horse and new 24+ GTs is behind the front plastic piece that looks like it could be a cooling duct if knocked out. The other side is open and does allow air to flow into radiators on the cars with Performance Packs and the Dark Horse. They moved the ECU to a terrible...
We rent the entire track as a group. Small group of friends who have been doing it for years. Last session I did was 4 hours straight testing a 911 for a race someone else will be driving in. I am not that skilled that I enter into races myself. I personally do not have the time to invest in ass...
Hey Bimmer! I will take and appreciate any advice offered freely!
Rest assured that the base GT and then modding it is the way to go for someone like me. I only spent $40,500 for this GT brand new lol.
I did a ton of research on the GT PP and the Dark Horse before deciding to go down this...
I would be lying if I told you exactly right this second. But I will tell you one thing, 30 mins isnt going to cut it and cooling costs what it costs lol
Whatever it takes.
Also I was putting down slightly under 1200 to the ground and driving it to work lol but its easier to keep your foot...
Ill try to grab a stock picture of it tomorrow lol. I know I am going to get slammed in here but I do not love the look at the stock Mustang. BUT that is not fair to the Mustang as I am not a fan of 90% of stock cars tbh.
I seriously bought the car because I know the Coyote platform is a...
Hey Junkyard! I do track days fairly often! I just have been racing with a team for the past 4 years. The team I race with does not do any domestics and the main car we run is a 911 with a setup this Mustang will never even come close to touching. I will still be racing with them so that is why...
Thanks Midwayj! Good to see they are getting some good lap times with fairly minimal work to be honest. That car is pretty much exactly what mine will be like once its complete.
Tire sizes and all. Perfect for still driving around but will eat other cars alive on the track lol
I dont think 20s will allow me to run a more aggressive 305 square setup. Plus Ill want more sidewall from some 19s. Even 19s on 305s is going to be annoying.
I would for sure run 20s if I wanted to make that sacrifice. I may end up running like 18x11s..
You all believing that car is worth the money they are asking for it is the funniest part. Jesus christ do we have to all be huge fan boys?
I cant have a different opinion?
Of course the dark horse has other stuff done to it. Just dont race other cars around that price range or you'll be...
