No- but any new combination of engine / transmission in any car requires it to undergo massive expense with getting EPA Certified- that’s the real reason the manual transmission is dead. They can’t just stick it in a few cars without tens of millions in recertification fees.

Sure they do. You can do a one pay for 12 months with any car. Might not be the most effective rates residuals and money factor but it’s possible.
